Panthers Nation
And to think that he wanted to be a Panther when he came back to the NFL...
Big Bubba
If we had more creative play calling on offense, Vick may have been a dream come true for the Panthers. As it stands, even if the Panthers signed Vick, they'd still be too vanilla with the play calling to accomplish anything. Would have probably been bad for the Panthers because they'd still be losing and even worse for Vick since without being able to "Wow" people, he'd still be shunned. REV.2000
A lot of Eagle fans were fickle about Vick, I agree. No doubt the Falcons will give it their all. Unless Vick is hindered by injury (either mild or serious) though, I don't see him being stopped. That's more of a positive for Vick and company than it is a negative toward the Falcons defense.ONE THING ABOUT THE NFL, IF THEY GET ENOUGHFILM ON IT .... THEY WILL EVENTUALLY DEFENSEIT. BUT RIGHT NOW ... YOU'RE RIGHT, HE DOESLOOK UNSTOPPABLE. AND HE IS VERY COMFORTABLELOOKING UNSTOPPABLE. BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD!
falconboogie
MIKE WILL ALWAYS BE ONE OF US. THE PHILLYFANS ARE CHEERING FOR HIM NOW. BUT WHEN THEYSIGNED HIM, THEY WANTED TO HANG ANDY REID.BUT THATS PHILLY FANS FOR YOU. MIKE PUT USON THE MAP. AND I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT.BUT IF WE MEET PHILLY AGAIN, AND HE'S IN THERE,WE INTEND TO KILL HIM, ALONG WITH THE RESTOF THE EAGLES. LET'EM THINK THEY AIN'T GOTNOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT FROM US. SEE WHAT HAPPENS. BUT BOY ... THAT RASCAL SHOWED OUT LAST NIGHT!All so true Rev, he was a BAD BOY last night. I have to give some props to Reid, I don't think he gets the recognition he deserves. Over the years, he's been the most consistent coach in the NFC.

YOU'RE RIGHT, HE DOESLOOK UNSTOPPABLE. AND HE IS VERY COMFORTABLELOOKING UNSTOPPABLE. BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD!You're right. Surely one defense out there can figure it out so the rest of the league can take notes. If not, I see the Eagles going to the SB with Vick as SB MVP. Will be a much bigger headline than when the Saints won it last season.
Big Bubba
THATS NORMAL. BUT RIGHT ABOUT NOW .....I THINK YOU'D LOVE HIM. True. I'm lovin' him right now on the Eagles though. You just don't see those kind of games a lot. No matter what team you're a fan of, or, if you like Vick or not, you have to respect what he has done so far this season and aknowledge that he's, upto this point in the season, the most dynamic player in the nfl. Big Bubba
Didn't I say all along you guys shoul've made the move 08'? Too late now, the eagles will sign him long term!Hindsight is always 20/20. If teams knew then what they know now, a lot of teams would have tried to get Vick. Who would have thought that at this point and time in the season, Vick would even be an upgrade over Brees and Peyton for the Colts and Saints. freebird587
Can you imagine how his career would have turned out if Andy Reid drafted him? If he had been in a Eagles offense his entire career, we may , right now, be talking about him in terms of HOF availability, when he retires.little history lesson for everybody...DAN REEVES DRAFTED HIM,and the next year he was going to be let go,so he quit...dan woulda made him more of a qb that he is now,and he wouldnt have let him pull the crap he did...but we got mora jr. and that genius gregg knapp to bring him along(not motivating at all)...this praising of this guy may be warranted right now,but dan woulda made him a pro before he went to prison...arthur blank was a rookie owner and had to learn the ropes, but firing dan is the main reason mike didnt progress like he could have, sooner than he did...get off the bandwagon falcons fans...i know its good to see him flourish, but quit acting like everything is hunky dorry, because he may be the one that could keep us from our goal...im sure some of you wouldnt mind though

freebird587
fb587, I'm glad Vick is turning his life around but like Deion, once you leave the Falcons I can't root for you. I root Falcons first, not ex-Falcons players.i agree about his life, but i dont think, looking back,he was ever one of US...he never cared about us,and still doesnt

Big Bubba
thats two former falcons, d hal for his 4 ints and vick for his raping of my team Players turn into beasts once they leave the Falcons. Schaub, Vick, Hall. If they had Schaub in '08, chances are they whup the Bucs and sweep the Panthers on their way to the #1 seed, and don't go one and done in the playoffs. SaintK
That is a hypthetical we'll never know. We like what we did and who we have now. We're very proud of where TD, Smitty, Matty Ice, and company got us to that first year together. Look where they are now? We are one of the model franchises now. When you guys start rebuilding you'll say we need to build like the Falcons did it!HOLY ****, IM SPEECHLESS WFW!I CANT BELIEVE THAT **** FELL OUT OF YOUR FINGERS! No idea who at this point). That way a SB is included.
