What about Rome and Mitchell?Crowell, Deion Bonner, Artimas Samuel, and a few other Carver guys will be in Athens. Ray Drew will be their as well. Not sure on the Valdosta guys yet...a lot is going to depend on if they get knocked out of the playoffs this week or not...the night game definitely helps us out though (keep an eye on Bama as they will try to sway Rome and Mitchell to come up their for the AU game...the same thing they are trying to do with Crowell right now). Should be a great weekend for recruiting and hopefully getting bowl eligible... even if for no other good reason than the extra practices. If we win I certainly won't be holding my breath to see who we get paired up against. At 6-6 we would probably play some Conference USA team or something. Wearing them this year wouldn't be a very good idea IMO, just doesn't seem like the right season or the right time in general just wear the classic read and hand GT a good old fashioned beatdown in front of a bunch of GREAT recruits and fans ready to see us beat up on someone decent again. It is part of their uniform, not some giant reward.And yes I know they are getting scholarships. But a lot of them are not and those guys will be able to dress versus Tech. Does getting the scholarship mean they cant decide what color jersey they want to wear? Should that be taken away from them because the season was bad?Besides, according to most here it is the coaches who are at fault, so why should the players suffer for the ineptitude of the coaches? And if it the players fault the season was bad as others say, well who has the right to tell Murray or Houston that they can't wear a black jersey? There are some guys on the team that have played lights out, like senior Akeem Dent.I guess my point is that some folks see it as being a reward for a great season. I think that is a flawed arrangement. It is a shirt. Big deal.You nor I have any skin in the game. So "we" wont be laughed at. Very nice post and my sentiments exactly.About the uniforms though, I can't say with 100% certainty that UGA does not have Pro Combat uniforms in their possession. But I'm a Photoshop guy and I will say with 99% certainty that the UGA Pro Combat photo being passed around is a Photoshop job. It came from the older FSU Pro Combat release. This is the where that photo originated:I think it'd be fun if we had something new in storage, but if so I really don't think it's the photo we've seen.
