MARCUS_MARGARITA
While the Giants do have a solid offense and a smashmouth defense. If you look at their body of work compared to ours this season, its nothing to start getting excited over, for instance:Week 1Falcons lose to a solid Steelers team 15-9, while Giants beat a struggling Panthers team 31-18.Week 2Falcons blowout the Cardinals 41-7, while the Giants get smacked in the mouth by the Colts 38-14.Week 3Falcons win in a hard fought overtime game in New Orleans vs the Saints 27-24, while the Giants looked lost against the Titans losing 29-10.Week 4 Falcons win the last seconds after Roddy's strip against the 49ers 16-14, while the Giants knock out 2 bears quarterbacks and win 17-3.Week 5 Falcons turn the game around and beat the Browns 20-10, while the Giants beat an overrated Texans team 34-10.Week 6Falcons are outplayed and lose to the Eagles 31-17, while the Giants took out another quarter back and beat the Lions 28-20.Week 7Falcons gave up some big plays but come back to beat the Bengals 39-32, while the Giants beat "Americas Nuclear Bomb" the Cowboys 41-35.Week 8Both teams had a bye.Week 9Falcons goal line stop helps defeat a young Buccaneers team 27-21, while the Giants destroy the Seahawks 41-7.Week 10Roddys touchdown helps the Falcons beat a solid Ravens team 26-21, while the Giants are set the play the Cowboys again.Point being I understand there is alot of football left to be played but I just cant stand hearing how the Giants are the better team in the NFC. dmite
They're not the best, but pretty close. Their big question mark is that they've gotten blown out when they played a decent team.
Dr_truth189
The biggest problem with the Giants is that persistent pass rush. When they get it from the front 4 consistently it makes everything on defense a lot easier to control. When They meet a good O-line like the Colts for example they get beat. But thats the problem how many teams Have an O-line like the Colts.
FalconinPA
I have heard you out, and I agree 100%. Let the media go ahead and crown them. It should get very interesting from here on out. He have taken down one self-proclaimed NFC's best. I think we can handle the media's crowned best as well. muskokas finest ©
The Giants are improving as the season progresses. Brandon Jacobs throwing his helmet into the stands seems to have rallied the team for some strange reason. Being the best in week #10 means squat. Finally
I don't care about a media trophy. The only thing that matters is that we are the better of 2 teams when it counts.
Robb4242
I'm fine with the media saying they are the best. They have a defense that can be dominating & they have a Manning at QB. They are a very good and very much in the conversation right now. It really doesn't matter until playoff time and then it's settled on the field. Look at 98, the Vikings were widely considered the best team in football, but when it came down to proving it on the field, they didn't. What difference does being number 1 mean then?
BadMoonRising
St Louis: Solid team now, no walk in the park.GB: Matthews, Woodson, Jennings, Rodgers.Bucs: **** good team, will be hard game in their house.Carolina: never know in division games, even if they suck.Seattle: at their house, they are solid if Hassleback is back.Saints: are getting on track and getting healthy, Brees is always ***********.Carolina: see abovewe have our work cut out for us.Lets worry about the Giants when we face them. The injury to Smith will be pretty harsh on them. stoned_jc7
Both the falcs and the Giants have a division opponent they have yet to play a single time. For us its carolina. For them its Philly. so...yeah, Not sure the giants are even the best nfc east team. Philly is going to be a handful for just about anyone. But honestly, way too early in either league to pick a best team. We need to take care of business so that when we see the other NFC teams, we can welcome them to the dome. KingJBaby
I was listening to Schein and Miller this morning and some caller said that the Giants were overrated. Schein said, that is the dumbest thing he ever heard!" They went on and on about how the Giants have continuously knocked out the opposing QBs. My opinion, it doesn't matter what the media thinks now or ever. When you sleep with Tiffany...everybody's gonna be jealous because they all wanna get with her. Dem Birds
3 teams worry me more than the Giants. Saints, Eagles and Packers. Heck, I'd rather play the Giants right now than go to Tampa Bay. lol
paulitik
I agree 100%. Not to say they aren't good, but they sure haven't beat anyone good. The OLs they've played were terrible, and in the case of Houston, a zone blocking OL, that a strong 4 man front that matches up very well with. Everyone was on their jock after scraping by the Cowboys, I watched that game. Not impressed. Anyone can look great when the other team doesn't show up.The Giants have great receivers, and a fantastic DL. If we can beat the Ravens decisively, we can beat the Giants.
