opensource010
It's true. The SS Babineux deserves some love too. He had a h@ll of a game.
Flyin' In DC
I am going to go with Tod McClure he had to deal with Ngata all night, and how often did you hear his name.....

The Great American
Yeah, I have to give it up for McClure. He had Ngata handled.I agree with all the above. Eric Weems should be given some consideration.
Ric Roc
I am going to go with Tod McClure he had to deal with Ngata all night, and how often did you hear his name.....THIS is a REAL "unsung hero" and great honorable mention... +1 Sir!!But really, so many kudos to go around... Micheal Jenkins made great plays to convert first downs... Babs, Abe, JA98... Fin... Weems with the ST tackle at the end after the punting gaffe... And speaking of how often, or how rare as it were, that we heard names, I never even saw Dunta Robinson last night. For all the grief he gets, he certainly kept the focus to the other side of the field.Props to Grimes for staying "resilient" despite being targeted all night and giving up a few plays (two touchdowns come to mind). Oh, and Jason Snelling once again being the most unexpected C.O.P-Back I have ever seen... Oh and to Mughelli for converting two third-and-shorts.Great job by everyone!! Master Exploder
We were triple teaming Ngata for a good bit last night, I wouldn't really commend Todd McClure so much. Suggs had a pretty good night due to the extra blockers on Ngata. But I'm not knocking McClure at all.. you just can't put one guy on Ngata, and I'm certain there's probably not a center in the game that could handle him 1 on 1. Geneaut
I thought Chauncey Davis had a great game. He was blowing up the OL at times when he spelled Abe.
Dr. Billings
My Unsung Hero goes to Michael Turner. I know, he didn't have a typical "Burner Turner" type of game. He didn't rush for over 100 yards. But what he did was set the tone for the offense when he popped Ray Lewis in the first quarter. I don't think Ray was ready for Turner. Lewis may have underestimated the power in Michael's legs. I do know that the intimidating Ray Lewis was intimidated and had to leave the field for a couple of plays after that hit. Kudos to Turner for that alone.

I would also like give some love to our ENTIRE O-Line, especially Sam Baker, who often gets KILLED around here. I'll need to re-watch the game, but I can't remember hearing his name being called out often, in regards to him doing something negative. harveybirdman
I have fell victim to buying Jersey's of players who end up leaving the ATL. Crumpler, Brooking, Metcalf, Vick, Norwood (c'mon you know the writings on the wall. But I'm telling you what, If I don't buy Ryan next, I think I'm going to go with my man Brian Finneran... Cause even when he's gone I will not hesitate to wear that sucker with pride. He's an outstanding citizen, selfless, humble, hard-working journeyman that represents our team as well as anyone ever has. Psychic Gibbon
I'm going to say the entire O-line. Last year they struggled mightily against 3-4 defenses, especially the larger ones, and though they can't seem to generate much movement for the running game against them at least they gave Ryan plenty of time in the pocket. Baker gave up two sacks but those can be attested to good coverage. To me this game was a watershed for more than one reason. The first is obviously to beat a quality team in prime time. The second was how the O-line performed against an extremely good (and huge) front seven from a 3-4 defense. On both counts I feel they succeeded. Robb4242
he gave up 2 sacks, I believe.Wondered who was going to go there. 1st sack, Baker took Suggs well behind and all the way past Ryan. Ryan backed into that sack when the entire side to his left was open. The 2nd sack was a coverage sack, Baker handled Suggs for about 5 seconds, which should have been long enough, but Ryan didn't have anybody to throw to.Baker played a very good game, along with the rest of the OL IMO. Izo#2883
Baker played pretty solid, I thought Suggs' 2 sacks came from the right side of our line?Overall the team played at a very high level which is to be expected if you like to win these hyped up matches.I would say that besides the OL (and I dont want to be noticing them at all) there were few starters I did'nt notice for something positive. But when I read this I just had to register. I'm glad to see another Finneran fan. I know we got Matty Ice,Rowdy Roddy, and Turner the burner. But to me. Finnrran Is "Mr reliable". He reminds me of a taller quicker Fred Biletnikoff. Ya a big nod for Finneran.
