Africanfalconsfan
We played a heck of a game last night, and that was a great win. But as many have mentioned already, Dunta did not get the ball throw his way much, but Grimes got picked on even though he had great position on both TDs. So I'm wondering why did we not give grimes safety help in the end zone, when we saw that he was the guy that the ravens wanted to pick on? I think that if we give Grimes safety help more often, our safeties will come up with lots of interceptions...BUT, the most important thing about last night is that WE'RE 7-2!!!! It's awesome to listen to the so-called "experts" eat crow, and start recognizing that we're a good team. Even though we're not seen as the best, YET, there's no expert who can pick us to lose in the dome. if they do, then they're just STUPID
Da_Truth
I was wondering the same exact thing. They seem to always be a non-factor in the passing game.
atljbo
He kinda did have safety help but it was setup for the safety to be in the inside if Boldin did a slant... I guess the Coaching Staff felt like Grimes could compete with Boldin in a fad jump ball situation... Grimes has normally been great in those situations

You can double but you are taking support away from the running game and leaving room for Heap.In close like that, you have to be able to defend the fade with a corner. Africanfalconsfan
Grimes played the ball great and if he hadn't mistimed his jump I think he might have had another pick. But I'm not referring to those particular plays as to says he should have had help on the fade route. All I'm saying is that Grimes plays lots of 1 on 1 defense throughout the game, and you can see the coverage before the snap. So if we sent safety help his way from time to time QB might hold onto the ball a little longer (on the 1st TD 1 more sec. and we would have gotten a sack)... Remember the Troy Polamalu pick against us? we were beating their corner all game long, and when we thought roddy was open, here come Troy to get the pick. All I'm saying is, keep the QB guessing
