WoTFan
KC just resigned Derrick Johnson. If they don't resign Hali, we should make a play for him. He's playing OLB for them in their 3-4, but played DE until last year. Guy is the real deal and would instantly give us the DE we need and free up a draft pick. hakim24
No way that they let him get away. If they have any doubts about resigning him, I am sure that they will use the franchise tag.
Rai
he's like their best player. he'll get the franchise tag at the minimum.
WoTFan
Maybe, but the franchise tag for a LB is like 12 million. They might not use it on him. You got to remember, this is Scott Pioli. Former Patriot GM. They used to let people walk all the time if they thought they would overpay for them.
head busta from augusta
Chiefs GM Scott Pioli and coach Todd Haley have both indicated that OLB Tamba Hali is next on the agenda for a long-term deal."Tamba has stated to me on numerous occasions that he'd like to retire a Kansas City Chief," Hali's agent said. "We both agreed we'd wait to see how the season progressed for the Chiefs and for Tamba. The ball is in their court." Hali's play has been All-Pro caliber this year, and he's third in the NFL with 8.0 sacks.http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2010-11-11/hali-long-term-deal-next-for-chiefs
chris30277
I doubt he leaves. But I would love him as a Bird
Kennesaw77
HBA is right. Pioli has given every indication they want him back and Hali wants to stay there. Resigning him is now their top priority.
