We still own every tie breaker.

Better hope we lose to some more nfc teams, eh?

If you lose tonight then the Falcons probably are not going to go far in the playoffs.

Falcons played 3 possible playoffs teams so far. Lost to 2 of them (Steelers, Eagles) and won 1 by a fluke miss FG on the 10 yl. If you lose to the Ravens you will be 1-3 vs playoff teams.

You will have to beat at least 3 playoff teams to win the Super Bowl.

If you lose this game to the Ravens, I wouldn't bet on the Falcons to go deep in the post season. You have to beat these teams, theres no way around it.

Anyone that says different is selling you something.

Should my feelings be hurt?

Don't take us seriously b/c some might not agree with ridiculous posts?

If you cant beat good teams without luck your not going anywhere, thats obvious. 1-3 vs good teams after today, I wouldn't bet a nickel on you making the show.

Its a must win, anyone that down plays that doesn't know football.

So just curious...what does it say if you've lost to the Cards & Browns...and only beaten the Steelers (@ home)? How does that bode for playoff runs?

1-1 vs good teams. Dosnt mater if we win the next 7 games, still 13-3.

The post had nothing to do with the saints tho. You cant say by beating lesser teams and losing to playoff teams, that gives you any confidence can you? It doesn't me.

You have to beat 3 playoff teams in a row to win.

Tom,

You may own the tiebreakers, but the fat lady ain't sung yet. There is still a half a season's worth of football to be played.

By season's end, the Saints won't be looking at the tiebreaker senerio when they win the NFCS outright.

So get that hundy ready to mail to me.

So what? The seasons only half over and you're concerned about tiebreakers?

No, it didn't. I was really just bringing that up b/c I think your rationale is extremely flawed. One...I don't even know where to begin with the whole "good teams" record. I'm sure you'd like for us to be out of it...but losing to the Ravens tonight...after an OT loss to the Steelers on the road and an embarassing loss to Philly is hardly evidence that we won't be ready for a deep playoff run if we make it. No more than suggesting embarassing losses to the Cards & Browns...and a "lucky" win against SF as well as losing to us at home would suggest that you guys aren't.

Besides, the criteria you're using to decide what teams are "good" and what teams aren't seems extremely skewed to say the least.

I know you'd love to count us out right now...but just accept the fact that the Falcons...are a problem. B)

So ur Saying something about "lucky wins" cough cough.

And ur game against us and sf wasn't a lucky win?

Hmmmm a little off there pal!

So u can beat the bucs and the cards and the browns. Which one of those wins tells u ur team can beat the elite to get to the sb?

Browns and cards scored a total of 1 TD combined on us. Saints had a TO problem. SF win wasn't lucky, no idea where you got that from.

If your saying the the Steelers and the Eagles are not good teams, theres no more conversation here. Ill consider you a problem when you beat the Ravens and the Packers, then we'll know your team is at least serious about winning the show. You are a problem, just not much of one if you cant beat teams you know we can.

If you'll note that's in quotations. I was really just pointing to his use of it with regards to our win over you all.

Since we're on that though, you guys would have been lucky to win that one if we're being honest. We kind of dominated on the ground and Ryan was good through the air. We got 3 turnovers but essentially b/c of a fluke play on special teams that gave you guys the short field instead of giving us the ball late (and there was no reason to think we wouldn't have ran the ball and ate up clock considering what Turner and Snelling had done that day) you guys got back in it. I was going to be P*SSED had we lost that game. Not b/c you guys don't have a good team...but realistically that was a game we should have won...

and we did.

Beating the Steelers makes the Saints Superbowl bound. That win defines the Season for the Saints. Good for you.

Thought it went to who had a better division record first. We are 3-1 and yall are 2-1 could be wrong though, anyways hope you lose tonight everyone will be watching.

Actually the first thing is head to head.

Then division which we are 2-0 which is >> 3-1

Then conference record which we still have

Then common opponents which we still have.

They are good teams, but all this talk of good teams bad teams is irrelevant. For one, we still don't really know how good a lot of teams are. You beat the Bucs but they have the same record...are they a good team? If they're not...then are the Saints really a good team?

In the end, I know it pains you to be looking up to the Falcons in the standings...but the bottom line is right now you are. Why? Right now...we're a better team. I know you'd like to spin the whole, "Since we beat the Steelers that means...XYZ." Really, it just means your team won a game they had to when their backs were against the wall trying to keep pace with a team that thus far...is better than you (as evident by the win week 3).

Like I said, I know you'll try as you might to talk about how we aren't for real even though we're in first and we've already beaten you...and talk about how your losses to "bad teams" don't really say much while pumping up your win against a "good team"...by all means keep it up because it is funny to see a Saints fan reaching to argue how we're somehow not a threat right now. ;)

keep talking and lose this game. See how the NFL feels about the Falcons after. Thats no theory, everyone will know you cant beat good teams without luck.
