Falcons_own_nfc_south
For the second straight day, two key players did not practice for the Atlanta Falcons.SLB Sean Weatherspoon (knee) and C Todd McClure (knee) did not practice on Tuesday.Weatherspoon is unlikely to play against the visiting Baltimore Ravens on Thursday evening. Weatherspoon has missed the past three games and four out of the last five. Backup SLB Stephen Nicholas has been filling in.McClure, who left last week's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a knee injury, has started 136 straight games. Rookie C Joe Hawley replaced him. Both teams will have a walk-through on Wednesday.-- Adam Caplan
phattywankenobi
How can this guy say Spoon is unlikely to play on Thursday? It's a short week so some of these guys may be right down to the wire instead of seeing if they practiced the last day before the game which it still is not. vel
Did anybody notice a change in the pocket protection when McClure went down? Now that I think about it, I didn't. That is a great thing since Hawley is the heir apparent. Yea you can say we played TB but they are still starting caliber pro players and he held his own well.No I am not begging for him to start against Ngata. I highly doubt he is prepared for 60 mins with that. I don't know who is. Edited November 9, 2010 by vel
East ATL a.k.a TROLL
I hope Todd can be ready for Thursday.
FalconFanSince1970
McClure or Hawley will have a rough time with those big DTs. It might be time to deploy the Alex Gibbs chop block scheme. We have had enough practice with 3-4s. It's time to get it right.
#2 FTW
I really like Hawley.Hopefully there won't be a huge difference if McClure somehow doesn't start

WVUDirtyBird
Fails to mention he came back IN. I think he'll start. This is the same guy who said Brent Grimes wasn't a starter in the NFL 2 days after he destroyed TO and Ocho. I think he's already shown that he doesn't actually watch the game. madman88
im really starting to think that there just holding spoon out more then injury, if u think about it, nicholas future depends on how well he plays, and this situation RIGHT here has HUGE implications down the road come end of the year and draft day..... Falcons0081
I believe Spoon sits this game out as well. We still have a lot of football left to play and if he is not ready then I don't mind sitting him. Yeah I think he helps our entire defense play better but I'd rather not risk further more extensive damage to his knee which could probably sideline him for the season. Get well soon kid! JRid
Steve Wyche just said that Roddy and Mcclure will start. He mentioned that Weatherspoon missed practice too, but he didn't say he would play. It's not looking like Weatherspoon will play this game either. He said that Roddy said "if I can walk I will play". I love hearing that Roddy said that. Edited November 10, 2010 by JRid

Brehus
Spoon isn't going to play. Falcons have a tendency to down play the severity of injuries. Look how long it took Jenkins to come back. I expect Spoon to be back by the playoffs though
