Xfactor
Is he a game changer ? No but he is the perfect compliment for Roddy White. First off that was an insane catch yesterday on a beautiful 46 yard pass play. He is still one of the best blocking WR's in the game and I love he was the first player to greet Turner in the end zone after the TD run.No matter how you feel about Jenkins he is a perfect fit for this system. I was very vocal after he went down about getting a legit #2 WR. Jenkins with everything he brings to the game is a legit #2 eod. If we had brought in Boldin, Jackson or anyone else myself and most of this board wanted we could have easily shot ourselves in the foot. Jenkins doesn't mind playing second fiddle to White, looking back I'm not so sure Boldin and Jackson would have. That type of player is not easy to find but we have him in Jenkins. After watching how this team performs with and without Michael Jenkins, if you still think he is a non factor well as soon as I'm through eating my plate of crow you can have yours. FalconPio
You should have gotten off when you seen how slow our offense was in the beginning of games in the first part of the season. Was he the absolute reason? probably not but I can guarantee you our offense got more comfortable when he came back into the lineupEdit: Oh i see where you mentioned that in the last paragraph Edited November 8, 2010 by FalconPio

sporkdevil
Heck of a catch yesterday. He seems like a great complement, and I never thought we would have missed him in the beginning of the season, but he seems to be an integral part to making our offense work. No question, he is the 2nd best WR on the roster.
slamee101
My thing with Jenkins has always been consistency. He's shown us at times he can be a solid #2, he just needs to do it game after game. I'm glad he's back, but I'm gonna wait until he keeps playing like this week after week like he did in '08.
Mid-Nite-Toker
I still have some open wounds due to Jenkins, but he is making me believe he is a legit #2 WR at the moment. Hope his solid play continues. Never hated Jenks just could not depend on him in the past to be consistent. Like RW, maybe Jenks is turning the cornor. Mr Pickle1
No. Still want a good no. 2/1 to help offense explode. How many years has Jenks been in the league? How many has he produced like a no. 2 should? One. One stinking year. He's had 1 good game and 1 decent game since coming back. 2 games DO NOT change my opinion. Let us see how he plays the rest of the season.
JustinTJ
I have been saying this for a while now. He's a perfect fit for our system, otherwise TD would not have extended him. Michael Jenkins does what we need him to do. Period.

Falconcheff
Im happy to say that was one bandwagon I never got on! Yay for me!Plus one! I've always loved me some Jenx (the only time I ever advocated trading him was for Brandon Marshall), and when he made that catch yesterday, I was just like, "Yeah!! He caught it! Many times a Falcon player would have dropped that!"Really. I said that.
Lord Sarcomere
I missed that guy for those beginning four weeks or so. I thought Douglas was going to step up, but things didn't go too smoothly. After 2 weeks without Jenkins, I was really missing the dude. I'm glad to have him back...he seems to open up our playcalling a lot.As for WR, I still think we should take one in the 3rd or 4rth round this year. Finneran might be gone after this year, and we don't know what we have in Kerry Meier due to injury. Harry Douglas has been shaky. I think almost by default we have to select at least one receiver.I really hope Finn stays though. He's such a great asset and leader for this team. I hope he get's a ring...he deserves it. Robb4242
Just out of curiosity, how many people knew this stat?Jenkins 14.2 ypc average over the past 3 seasons ranks him 11th in the NFC.Not sure what that ranks him overall in the NFL, but given that there are 16 teams in the NFC, there are at least 5 teams who don't have a single receiver stretching the field like Jenkins does. Jenks is an excellent fit in our system and I've never really understood the hate he gets on this board.
CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
I never was on it - I don't have to get off - I still wouldn't mind another receiver in next years draft tho!
ki46dinah
Not hate, but a fact...and funny...#2 all time for NFL starts by a WR with no 100+ yard game, he has 57 startsright behind Bryant Johnson, who has 71 career startshe was sooo close in that Philly game though, poor dude

Maybe your only problem is with the amount of money we gave Dunta, but we knew he wasnt a shut down corner in the first place and the man has help our secondary out in a way words cant describe. Just look at the numbers, if TD paid him to do that then yes he deserves every bit of that money. He miight not be some great super star but he is a player that we really need.As for Jenks, Look at our O with him compared to when he was out. We are clicking better with him in and thats a fact, we all see the difference in the offense. I honestly would have hated to see what would have happened if Roddy went down while Jenks was out.The Chevy pick was a mistake, And Baker is too inconsistent but as we have seen it took Roddy a while and Baker is still only in year 3 playing what is the hardest position imo on the o-line. But I will say I think center is equally hard, a great center gets the right protection called. But imo theres is no way we messed up with signing Dunta and extending Jenks. Both of those guys make a big difference for this team.

john_winger
it took Roddy White about three years to hit his stride. I think Jenkins was drafted the year before. He does need some more consistency, but the adjustment on the long pass yesterday shows he has the skills.
