jungleking
CAROLINA JUST PUZZLES ME. THEY'RE FRONTOFFICE IS FULL OF JERRY JONES TYPES. THETHEY KNOW EVERYTHING MENTALITY. THEY DON'TNEED NO INPUT FROM NO COACH. THE PEPPERSTHING, THE STEVE SMITH WILL LAST FOREVERTHING. THE WE DON'T NEED BETTER "O" LINEMEN, WE GOT GREAT RUNNING BACKS THING.AND ON AND ON ... NOW SEE WHERE THEY'RE AT!Better offensive linemen? Two first round picks at tackle, a second round pick at center, and a third rounder at left guard. Two Pro Bowlers, plus two good starters in Otah and Wharton, then plug in a journeyman at right guard. That's a pretty good offensive line. That's why the running game has succeeded for these last few years. Now the only challenge is getting them healthy. And no, they never thought Smith would last forever. That's why they brought in Keary Colbert, Dwayne Jarrett, and now Lafell, Gettis, and Edwards, among others over the years. Yes, they failed at finding a second receiver, but not for lack of trying.Peppers? Are you THAT blinded by hate, or are you just dumb? Yeah, giving 45 million dollars to a 30 year old with motivation issues is just a fantastic idea! Here, let me give you some stats real quick.Player 1: 26 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 tackles for loss for 10 yards. 0 forced fumbles, 0 interceptions, 0 blocked kicks.Player 2: 20 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 tackles for loss for 7 yards. 2 forced fumbles, 1 interception, 1 blocked kick. Now, player 1 is 24 year old Charles Johnson, and player 2 is 30 year old Julius Peppers. Johnson plays for the eleventh ranked defense, which gives up 4.7 yards a play. Peppers plays for the eighth ranked defense, giving up 4.8 per play. That's the production Carolina has so desperately needed? We should given up a long term, historically large contract for Peppers? Seriously? BlueRidgeB
The Panthers are quite possibly the most puzzling team in the league behind the Chargers. I've never seen a team in a situation like the one they have this year. Lame duck coach, an owner not allowing any moves, literally the worst WR corp I've ever seen, and the dullest and most predictable playbook ever. I used to think they had a bunch of playmakers but really its just DeAngelo & Beason. They need a total revamp on offense and honestly should get rid of Smitty. The games against them are always awesome when they're good but now things are falling apart in Charlotte.

NoMoreVick
Be glad you guys are not in the panthers situation. You were there last season bucman...Not really. They weren't a good team last year, but they solified a coaching staff later and got a few things in the front office straightened out. The Carolina situation is a lot uglier. But, as far as wins, losses and overall talent against their opponent- yeah, it's pretty similar.
BuccoBruce
Be glad you guys are not in the panthers situation. You were there last season bucman...We all were at some point. Panthers have had bad luck the past few years with injuries and some poor drafting. It took our franchise a long time to find a "Franchise QB". Hopefully they get it together next year. This division is only headed up.
Shredman
Panthers need everything but a mlb and rb lolnew gmnew coachnew qbnew wrsnew everything reallythey can get it donewe didand didnt have to wait even a yr.....i could not begin to tell you where to startGM i guessThats where we started, then got very very lucky with Coach Smith , then Turner, Car dont need a rb tho, they have 2 good ones when they are healthy and them we had an outstanding draft, a once in a lifetime Draft where on an 11-5 team we had a Rookie HC, Rookie QB Rookie LT Rookie MLB and Rookie slot wrnot to mention a solid safety in T Decoudand 2 of those guys are sure fire all pro players in Ryan and Loftonhard to have that kinda draftbut like i say it can be donecant be cheapGotta have an Owner that truly wants to winand gotta get real Lucky in the Draftand as far as Peppers, my lord hes worth every penny, i so wish we would have got him instead of DRob...we would be 9-0 right now if we had.....i truly believe that..... Big Bubba
You think Colt would have any kind of success behind the Panthers Oline? The same Oline that is a big reason why their top three RBs are either injured or on IR and why Moore, Clausen and Pike have all been injured at least once. Yeah. nuccah
You think Colt would have any kind of success behind the Panthers Oline? Almost all of Colt's big plays are after he breaks a tackle or two or is scrambling out of the pocket.
aPureTerror
This is his first season and he isn't on a good team. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that it's kinda early.
