atljbo
5 minutes ago - Coach Mike Smith said LT Sam Baker has been improving the last two weeks. That's a turnaround, given that Baker's play was sluggish at the start of the season. "I think he's feeling healthier," Smith said. "He started the season and wasn't 100 percent. But he's feeling healthier and playing better." Falcons RapidReportsThis is my problem with Baker... The healthy Baker and injured Baker are two totally different players... Its been this way every since his USC days... Also the Coaching Staff will never let you know when a guy is player hurt so fans wont know. This why i didnt get why he was so inconsistent/bad... He has the tools to be a LT in this league... He shown the ability when healthy... Its just the guy cant stay healthy.
slamee101
We'll see. He also seemed to get more help in the last one too, but I can't say I was too focused on him.
sporkdevil
It's a serious problem. A not-100% Baker is terrible, and the fully healthy Baker is awesome. He's just rarely 100%.

Tandy
All I know is that when he's not healthy - he's not good for Ryan's health and they need to keep him out!
fly_falcon_fly
All I know is that when he's not healthy - he's not good for Ryan's health and they need to keep him out!Yep, totally agree. Last game was a good indication what will happen to Ryan if Sam keeps on missing his man. I hope there will not be a repeat this week. If he is not 100%, keep him on sideline unless 70% of Sam is better than what we got for his replacement.

Tandy
no one is ever 100% i'm tired of that sayingI think all of us know that. From the first practice til the last game - there is no 100% player unless he just isn't playing or maybe he's the kicker. Still - keep it in context. 100% for a football player is not 100% - but they can perform at Football 100%.

Finally
no one is ever 100% i'm tired of that saying100 percent just means that you can play at an expected high level. It doesn't necessarily mean you are 100 percent healthy.

FalconFanSince1970
...there is no 100% player unless he just isn't playing or maybe he's the kicker...Not even the kickers. The Beer Man almost had to kick game winning FGs for us last year. Geez Baker. RISE.
Finally
it's still a misnomberIn this context, 100 percent is a measure of health as it relates to playing ability. It is not a precise form of measurement but it is not a misnomer.

illest_will
Maybe Todd Weiner spoiled me but if you're stepping on that field you should be expected to be playing at a high level...if 99% turns him into a scrub then he needs to be replaced. Southsacfalcon
We don't have a high paid off lineman, so we will go after our franchise tackle via agency and draft wideout in first round
Spoooooooon4MVP
We don't have a high paid off lineman, so we will go after our franchise tackle via agency and draft wideout in first roundno, where's the logic in drafting a wide reciever in the first when you have the best reciever in the NFL on your roster and talented young talent behind him?
