Tyler Bray named starter vs. Memphis

Bray is the future of this program. I'm surprised this decision actually took this long. Also, Simms sounds like a kid that walks around with an entitlement mentality. Dude sounds like he should start simply because of his last name. His comments the last couple of weeks have been very interesting, kind of surprised Dooley didn't wrap duct tape around his mouth for sounding like a spoiled brat.

You should post a thread about your D-lineman who was arrested for sucker-punching another kid in the back of the head. Smith then went on to kick him in the head after the "victim" fell to the ground. I wonder where he learned the kick and stomp strategy. Not to worry though, Dooley has everything under control already. I'm sure you have heard about all this by now.

Yeah I'm surprised it has taken this long to name Bray the starter. He has looked a lot better to me than Simms... and Simms just comes across as a complete tool.

Bray is definitely the future for UT at QB... he needs as much experience as he can get this year.

Somebody already posted a thread about that.

Great decision by Dooley. Bray I believe is going to be pretty good for us. Simms has played decent this year but holds onto the ball way to long and is afraid to throw the ball unless the receiver is 100% open. The future is definitely bright for UT, I counted 6 true freshmen on the field on a scoring drive against USCe last Saturday.

He looked decent when he came in against us. I didn't see him against southcarolina except for the pick 6. But this is as good a game as any for this kid to shine. Memphis is just flat out awful in football this year (what's new not worry though basketball season is right around the corner.) Bray should put up big numbers against memphis so don't get too excited after this game.

He actually performed pretty admirably against USCe. This best thing was after that horrible pick 6 he was able to bounce back and throw two touchdowns. A lot of true freshmen QB would fold after throwing that pick.

My guess: One entitled son of a sports legend who owes almost everything to his old man doesn't want to tread too hard on the dreams of another, unless he can no longer help it.
