Big Bubba
wfw. Somehow we have the 4th best overall defense in the league. Ranked higher than the Steelers, Jets and Ravens. Defense is the only reason why the Panthers aren't complete pushovers. The only games I can see as offshoot possible wins are the Falcons at home and the Saints at home, and that's strictly because our teams normally play each other hard, no matter how bad one of the teams are sucking.I wouldn't predict a Panther win this week though, the Saints looked great against the Steelers. That game either energized them or drained them. I think it may have energized them. Edited November 1, 2010 by 08NFCSChamps

bradael
I'd be jealous if it was Ndamukong Suh.... otherwise, having a top 5 pick typically is wasted until they fix the salary scale.

If we ever get to see him in an offense that showcases his strengths that is. Trolls come and go all the time. Obviously they weren't dedicated to trolling if they let a little thing like losing get in the way of their fun.
freebird587
giving up already...figured you to be a boys player with that attitude...9 games to go,so if moore can pull a few of those out, then you have something build on...dont ever give up hope, especially in this division

I'll cheer for them as if they were 6-1. I still look forward to the games every week because I know the defense will keep the games in reach, even in the fourth quarter. Just in case the offense decides to do something one of these weeks.
Big Bubba
Btw, what are you guys doing with the way too high pick of Armanti Edwards?Still being developed. He'll need a lot of time. Kid is fast, kid could be the next Steve Smith for us, he's just too nervous right now. You can tell, and when he gets nervous, he doesn't move near the speed he should be moving at. Maybe he'll be good about 3 years down the road. Not a good pick at all though. He would've probably went in the 6th round if not for the Panthers picking him so high. Big Bubba
All I know, they need to get a lot of Olinemen in next years draft. The current crop is killing the team with their inability to gel. Qb having under a second to throw the ball most of the time, not being able to open any sort of lanes for the run game. It's a sad state of affairs.
nuccah
I've got a question for you 08, what do the Panthers do with a top 5 pick (which is pretty much a sure thing) if the Bills take the top QB off the board (whether that ends up being Luck, Locker or Mallett)? You have a lot invested already into the WR, CB and DE positions which is where this class is shining. What do you do if your the Carolina GM?

LolRemember - Matt Ryan was graded as a late first round pick, Brohm as a top 10, and Flacco wasn't even on teams' radar 3-4 months before the draft. It wasn't until about two months beforehand that we saw Ryan and Flacco shooting up the boards. You never know what is going to happen to a QBs stock. Big Bubba
Well. Not sure why the Panthers would want another Qb. Clausen has had a total of 3 starts. Against the Bears, his only horrible horrible game, was the Bears, a game in which the Panthers became the first team since '98 to start a rookie qb and a rookie #1 and a rookie #2 WR in the same game. I'd love to see him with an Oline that will protect him for even 3 seconds after the snap so he isn't forced to do an immediate check down or throw it away. I say either a DT or O-lineman. If none are worthy of a top 3 pick, they need to trade down a little, for another teams 1st and 2nd so the Panthers can get back into the second round also. Also I'm not high on nuter dame boy anyway! Ud b a fool to pass on luck.

Also I'm not high on nuter dame boy anyway! Ud b a fool to pass on luck.True but Clausen is still pretty much untapped potential. Not sure why a new HC would waste a high pick on a qb when qb isn't the problem. You know what the problem is when the Panthers with Dwill and Stewart are only able to get like >3ypc running the ball. That's truly saying something about the horribleness of the Oline right now. They've never been that grand at protecting the passer but their ability to open up lanes was their saving grace.
Big Bubba
Just saying. A new coach is going to look like a genius if he can just strengthen the Oline, he'll get a winning record out of this team, if the run game is actually able to run and the qb is even somewhat protected. Same trap, different team. Luckily, the Panthers only wasted a 3rd rounder on him. Poor Browns wasted a 1st.
