crankdatfalcon
What is up with this curse??It strikes every single year and hasnt failed this year with the yucs creeping up to tie with us for first place. They remind me of us a couple years ago when we first got coach smith and had a great draft picking up our franchise QB. They have a young team, with a couple veterans on the defense to anchor it so this will not be a easy game. Freeman could be a protege of a younger daunte culpepper and i think mike williams will be a good #1 reciever for them. Even though we are coming off a bye week, i hope it doesnt come back to bit us like it did with the jets and we lose the momentum we had before the bye week. I dont expect us to be rusty but who knows. 2 tough games this upcoming week could really tell us where we stand as far as being an elite team. Most predictions only gave them maybe 4-6 wins all season..
vabchbirdlover
This is no longer valid. 2008 broke the curse.Hopefully 1 curse will continue - No NFCS team has made BTB playoff appearances since it's creation in 2002!
Dharma Initiative
The curse was already broken. The Buccs aren't a great team, they got stomped by the Saints and barely beat the Cardinals whom we crushed.

FalconFanSince1970
Apparently J. Freeman is the real deal. The only thing I question is their Defense. Should be a good game.Their defense looks opportunistic to me. Kinda like the Saints did last year. Give up yards. Give up points. Get key turnovers and sacks. wonderboy09
No the curse is still alive especially in terms of playoff appearances.
vabchbirdlover
Their defense looks opportunistic to me. Kinda like the Saints did last year. Give up yards. Give up points. Get key turnovers and sacks.Yes, but they yeilded 35 pts to an D. Anderson led offense, the same common opponent that we held to 7 pts. But Radio has the fellas believing and like has been said - Any division game is fought tooth and nail despite records or locations. Still, I believe the Falcons pull this out. Ryan is 15-1(?) at the dome and has me feeling fairly confident.

I think a lot of people put too much credence in the "we beat a team that they lost to" misconception. Same with the "they barely beat" notion.I believe you can throw all of that out the door every week. Especially in division games. Many people still seem to be discounting the Sucs. I don't trust em worth a dam.If they come in here and beat us Sunday we could suddenly fall to third in the division with BAL comin in on three days rest. Crucial game. FalconPio
Yea. Actually it does have some kind of validation to it with the "worst to playoffs" trend
FalconFanSince1970
Yea. Actually it does have some kind of validation to it with the "worst to playoffs" trendThat would make it a worst to first playoff blessing. Not a curse. I love it. There is a lot of parity in the NFL. Especially in the NFCS.OH and Brees is fighting off the Madden curse.Halloween is over folks. There ain't really no curses left. Just NFL football games. Let's play football and see who rises to the top. NFCS have some decent candidates. It will be a very interesting battle. Good health to all four teams, as well as the other 28. Can't wait. Poppin my popcorn.
