Hey - FFS70 - here's a stat sheet for you!

Tandy

Recommended Posts

Based on the starters for each team - I collected each QB's win/loss record for their career (not just current team they are starting for). With the exception of 2 teams (Cowboys & Detroit) - there is only 1 QB listed - for those 2 teams I used both the normal starter and the one who will take over now.

For you - There is also an asterisk * next to any starter who has less than 30 games under his belt. The numbers are valid through week 7 of 2010.

It is ranked 1st by Win Percentage - then by number of Wins for a tie:

I thought you would like this!

Butta baby.

Send that on to USA Today cause they are really the only stat house that tracks that stat.

Tandy you are really on top of your game. I love what you do. You should probably be a Falcon employee.

Gone girl. Keep up the good work.

I hate to bring up Vick but Ryan is just like him. Did enough to win many more games. When the Oline, WRs or coachin broke down, they made enough plays to bring us a freakin win.

It won't be long with Ryan Tandy. Trust me on that one.

I agree. Kids a winner. I always said that about Vick too. While Ryan doesn't have the same athletic talent that Vick was blessed with - he has the same determination and the same grit and the same competitive drive.

I also agree about it not being long. I have this strange feeling it will be sooner than we expect!

Well you know better than most Tandy. I've seen pretty much every NFL QB. Bart Starr and Roman Gabriel were my first two favs.

I haven't seen many NFL QBs that could do what Ryan and Vick could do behind Falcon Olines throwing to the Falcon WRs they had though. Both players have an innate ability to make a play when there ain't really a play there. Innate maam. It is almost magical.

If we can keep Ryan upright I honestly believe we will see something we've never seen before. Buddy is already the winningest Falcon QB ever and is 6th amongst the actives with 30 or more starts. Most NFL experts say that is the measuring stick for a QB.

Nice post. Thanks.

Is this slightly outdated? I'm curious because I was surprised to see Flacco listed three slots below Ryan. Flacco's actually 26-13 in the regular season, which is a 66.67%.

If this includes playoffs - and I don't think it does - Flacco's 3-2 in the postseason, which makes his overall record 29-15 or 65.91%.

Either way, the numbers don't quite add up, although it looks like Ryan's numbers are accurate if you don't throw in the playoff loss. I don't have the patience to count anyone else's W-L record, so I'll just assume it was a mistake on Flacco.

Nonetheless it's a really impressive chart and it's awesome to see Matty Ice ranked so high. Here's hoping that percentage only continues to climb as the season wears on.

Anyone can make mistakes - but no - this is REGULAR SEASON WINS.

When they store a Quarterbacks Win/Loss records - they do not include playoff win/losses. Those are kept separately and I didn't go looking those up especially since some of these guys have been in the league over 15 years.

I just verified Flacco's numbers again. He is 25-14. The chart is correct and I'm not sure where you got that he had 26-13.

His record in 2008 was 11-5

His record in 2009 was 9-7 (9+11=20 wins & 5+7 = 12 losses)

His record in 2010 is 5-2 (20+5 = 25 wins & 12 + 2 = 14 losses)

25 wins out of 39 starts = 64.10%

Ryan record in 2008 was 11-5

His record in 2009 was 9-5 (9+11 = 20 wins & 5+5 = 10 losses)

His record in 2010 is 5-2 (20+5 = 25 wins & 10+2 = 12 losses)

25 wins out of 37 starts = 67.57%

Also - as stated - it goes through Game 7 of 2010 - so it won't be outdated until after the games tomorrow.

Hmm... guess I was looking at incorrect information for Flacco, then! You should never trust your roommates who are Ravens fans when they point you to web sites.

Thanks for setting me straight! ;)

No problem. Just so happens - Ravens, Steelers and Bears are among my favorite non-Falcon teams. I've always been a sucker for a Great Defense and a lunch pail, blue collar, grind 'em out offense!

Of course, when they play the Falcons - ALL APPRECIATION OF THEIR TALENT IS OFF!

You better give some love to San Fran to support your hubby. The Niners actually have got a ton of talent and they're not far from being a very good team.

I agree. It's hard though - but much easier than it used to be when we were getting spanked regularly by the 9ers.

Wierd though, after over 30 years of marriage - he's now supporting the Falcons fiercely - even rooted for them against the 9ers.

However, he still roots for the 9ers and he still follows them closely.

To me though - they've never been the same since stealing the team from Eddie!

My wife who was born and raised in Marietta, disowned the Falcons as they were getting destroyed by Philly when she asked me what happened to "my" team. I guess it was no longer "our" team. We've only been married about 5 years so I guess it will take longer to toatally brainwash her like you have with your husband.

Slowly but surely. Just take it one day at a time!
