Would Deion Sanders get YOUR vote for the ROH?

I realize this is another polarizing subject but deep in my heart of hearts he deserves to get in.

Spent as many years here as he spent with any other team. Had most of his success here. Instrumental in many wins. Appreciated by many fans.

Nope. Though he was drafted here, and played here a few seasons, he's no more of a Falcon to me than was Brett Favre.

Deion to me is more of a rival- he's a Cowboy or a 49er: two of my most hated teams. To me, his joining of the RoH, belittles it. We might as well put Favre in there when he retires. He's as much a Falcon as was Deion.

Nope he has acted like a doosh towards our franchise since he left, however not only did we draft him we featured him very well and gave him the chance to be primetime with all his mc hammer tie ins and let him play with the Braves without causing a stink.

No. He was here for 5 years. He was a diva and has not been kind towards the Falcons since his departure. It would be unfair to blame him for leaving, but IMO 5 yrs is very borderline and "honor" isn't the first word that comes to mind when I think back on those 5 years.

Your post only proves that he shouldn't be in any team's ring of honor. He was a mercenary. Unlike Kearney and Brooking, who were drafted and played the majority of their careers here.

I voted no. He was a great player....but he was NOT a great Falcon. he taunted us...he laughed at us...he insulted us....he does not deserve to be honored by us. Maybe the NFL could honor him, but not us.

It's not all about just playing the majority of your career with a given team, it can't be in the era of Free Agency. What should be looked at is what you did as a player and what you've done since retiring. Despite the bad feelings towards Sanders he has done a lot of positive things outside of the NFL. I personally don't care for the man but he has merit as far as being a part of Atlanta sports history.

I also hope Dunn gets honored eventually even though he played for a rival team for quite a bit of his career.

Yes. Not that I always liked his behavior, but he was the best cover corner ever, and played the logest here of any team. He filled the dome, and created a generation of Falcons fans when there weren't many left.

I agree that Deion was not a traitor. I don't even blame him for leaving......not at all.

But...he's still came back in the dome the next year and acted like a complete jack*ss, and he's run the team down many times over the years.

And the Falcons sucked while he was here.

Plus....another thing that's hardly been mentioned....Deion missed a bunch of games because he was playing baseball.

I'm not going to be in favor of putting anybody in the ring of honor if he can't even show up for the season on time.

I think this is a kiss up to NFL Network. All they were talking the other night is he will be inducted in Deion's house which he was on another team when he said it. He should eventially be in ROH after some real Falcons are inducted.

I fully expect the boo meter to be high. Probably will mirror the votes on this poll.

I still say buddy deserves to get in on football reasons alone.

One of the best Falcon football players ever. One of the best NFL players ever.

The boos will be because of non football reasons like:

-wore too much gold

-too brash

-walked away from a one year contract

-played for our rivals

-slapped Rison and claimed the Dome

-hated on us on NFLN
