dmite
-Ryan under threw long ball that Hall pickedIt wasn't under thrown, DB made a good play catching it at the peak of his jump. It was actually a perfectly thrown ball and if the DB misses it, it's a TD. Good play by Hall is all.-defense gives up 19 pts in 7 minutesTechnically, the defense only gave up 12 points in 7 minutes. Fumble return isn't the defense's fault.
GANDI
I really like Ryan going deep more and him pump faking, I just wish the pump fakes didn't all come on the same play lol, Great Job on the Review as usual.

sporkdevil
QB's are throwing on Lofton. Let's be honest, he is an elite run stuffer, and has Brooking-esque coverage skills. His lack of speed was actually the only reason we even had a shot to draft him.I'm so happy Ryan has been pump faking. I was wondering if he would just never do it? And to make it worse, Jenkins saw that and didn't even tryto knock it down. Instead he let him intercept it and then weakly tackle him down. Dem Birds
Look again. Hall was beat. If the ball is a yard longer it's a TDThat's badHall went up to the highest point and got that ball. If that ball was underthrown, then so was Drew Brees' against Grimes last year. If you look at the trajectory, the ball was going to fall right in Jenkin's hands. If it was underthrown at all, it was just barely. just a great play by Hall, I think.
Falconsfan567
I finally got to see the game on NFL Replay and I've got to say the pass defense was a lot better than Palmer's final numbers show. 75% of Palmer's yards and completions where inside of 10 yards. We didn't give up but a couple of deep passing plays. Also Palmer was throwing on nearly every single play in the 2nd half. It was a huge improvement over the Philly game. Also anytime Palmer held the ball for any length of time at all he was getting hit. We hit him quite a bit.I loved the amount of times we threw deep or attempted to throw deep. Instead he let him intercept it and then weakly tackle him down.It was perfectly thrown for Jenkins and it was going to hit him about shoulder high on the outside right in front of his chest. Hall makes a great play on it at the top of his jump. You have to give the defense some credit some times, I know it's hard for some of you to do. Most defenders, the best they're going to do is tip it. Hall read the route, ran with Jenkins, actually in front of him, turned and found the ball and sprung up fully stretched to grab it. It was a really good play by him. Edited October 28, 2010 by dmite

BenB321
Good thread, FFS1970. The two main things that stick out in my mind from these game are: 1. We are a physical team, the Bengals got beat up the whole game by the Falcons, I thought for sure either Lofton or Nic was going to knock out TO, too bad they didn't. 2. Roddy White, the dude is balling and is either the best or the second best receiver in the NFL. At this point defenses just can't stop him.I thought Hall just made an outstanding INT nothing you can do there, also the play calling and game plan was much better than it was during the Philly massacre. FFS1970 where is Gazoo? We're having a tremendous season and he is MIA.
BruceReville
My favorite part of the game was the sack at the end of regulation - What a way to end it!

Instead he let him intercept it and then weakly tackle him down.I disagree with you. The db made an excellent play on the ball. I would like to remind you of the Grimes pick on Drew Brees last year. Brees never believed Grimes could have jumped that high to make that play. Hall made a Grimes like jump for that ball. No blame on Ryan, no blame on Jenkins, it was a professional athlete that made an excellent play.

IMO Jenkins should have been more aware of the DB and jumped for the ball himself. At 6'4" he would have easily out jumped the DB.
don00045
It was not Snelling that knocked Jones out of the game. It was Harry Douglas, truth is stranger than fiction.

falcons faithful
Good post my friend.I find it very interesting how this year Owens is not the golden child. Last year after several games people were almost making him the second coming of Deion and how he was so much better then Grimes. I posted several times that he was being given to much credit. Well while I hope he does become the CB that everyone last year though he was I have to wonder where all of them are so far this year.Great post hope all is well. No blame on Ryan, no blame on Jenkins, it was a professional athlete that made an excellent play.OK I just looked at it again. It was close but check out the last two steps of the two players. Both of em broke stride. I still say if that ball is laid out another yard it's a TD cause Jenkins was gaining position on Hall when he pushed off on his lower back. We went back to Roddy on the same route at 13:49 of the 4th and Hall was in position (actually ahead of Roddy). Let's agree to disagree on this one.It was not Snelling that knocked Jones out of the game. It was Harry Douglas, truth is stranger than fiction.Snelling hurt Pac man earlier in the game but it was Weems that knocked him out, not HD. It happened on the 2 pt conversion. When Weems hit him he dropped to the ground and Weems was standing there wide open. Unfortunately Ryan didn't see him but we still converted. I don't like Pac Man very much but I'm sorry to hear about the injury. It sounds like he might need neck surgery.
Peyton
THE BAD-TO almost had 2 more TDs on OwensGreat review dude. The Falcons got some good fortune on that second one. Just completely flukey luck for the Falcons that TOs second foot came down out of bounds on that second bomb. Really was a huuuuuuge play in the football game. It's a game of inches baby. Peyton
I find it very interesting how this year Owens is not the golden child. PFF said he gave up 17 catches in that game.17 catchesThat's a number that would make even Jason Webster go.............Daaaaayyyyyyuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm!!!!!!So I think the best support you are going to hear for the guy is going to be "he's young, and he was going against two of the best".
