Many of us have debated about the causes of our obvious shortcomings on offense the previous 3 games against the 49ers, Browns and the Eagles.. There were concerns about Ryan, Turner, the OL, the play calling, the archaic offensive philosophy, etc..

I think based on yesterday's play calling and resulting performance we can all agree that the primary determinant of our offensive woos the previous games and much of the season and preseason was clearly the offensive game planning and in-game, situational play calling. It's just a shame that we can't anticipate needed changes versus reacting to them out of utter necessity (like the Eagles game).

We'd better anticipate our offensive strategy when we play the Ravens and hopefully MM has officially and permanently remove the handcuffs from Matt Ryan. Yesterday He looked looked like an excited, enthusiastic kid who hand just found his favorite long lost toy!

consistantcy will make me feel better..not just one game.

YES! This is the key from us being considered ONE of the best in the NFC to being the dominant team everyone one is looking for in the NFC. As we saw yesterday, we have what it takes, its just a matter of consistency from here forward.

Something doesn't add up though. In all the 3 years Mularkey has been here, he actually hasn't game-planned against an opponent. I really think Ryan was calling the majority of his own plays....

I wish there was a statistic to know this. Certainly many plays that were called yesterday that seemed like someone else was wearing Mularkey's headset! Like the pass called on 3rd and two feet late in the game--wow!

Another problem has been pass protection. Especially from Baker. We can't get going if Ryan is hit every play he drops back.

Atlanta has given up only 24 QB hits which puts them at 7th in the NFL and some of the teams that have given up fewer have already had their bye week. Baker hate has blinded yet another falcon fan!

Its not just sacks or hits. Its general pressure. You must not be watching games if you think our line is doing a good job in pass pro.
