birds_till_death
Team on the RiseRemember the san francisco game.Ryan throws what appears to be a pick six to end the game. Roddy hustles down after breaking off his route on the other side of the field, Harvey Dahl moves his big self down field to try and make a play, and Ryan is in the mix to upfield ahead of the reciever.Clements slows down as they have to block Ryan, Roddy makes a game saving strip, and Harvey Dahl falls on the ball. Hustle from the entire team showing the play is NEVER over.Team Falling DownNew Orleans Saints vs Cleveland. Drew Brees throws an interception. You can literally see in the highlights the o-line and brees WALKING and/or maybe a slot jog in the direction of the ball. No hustle from ANYONE on the Saints to try and make a play.Cleveland player takes an easy Sunday stroll towards the goalline, stops and pauses on the one yrd line, then flips into the endzone.(not a single Saint in the picture frame).Key differences from similar situations depicting a team on the rise and a team falling down. coachx
The road will not get any easier for the Saints. They get to get a beat down from the Steelers next Sunday while the Falcons are resting on their bye.

I saw that play, as I was at "the tavern" with multiple TVs. I remember wondering where the Saints players were while the linebacker was jogging to the endzone...and then he stopped at the goal line! Finally
I wasn't going to this year but I think I will buy the NFL rewind. I really want to see what happened in that Saints/Brown game.
Tim Mazetti
I wasn't going to this year but I think I will buy the NFL rewind. I really want to see what happened in that Saints/Brown game. From what I saw (during Falcon-game commercials), it was a prepared team vs an out-coached team (remember the Eagles game). According to an AP sportswriter in my daily rag, Scott Fjita..."was always watching the Saints' sidelins for substitutions, then relayed the information to his own sideline to help with pre-snap adjustments." After the game, Coach Mangini gave him a game ball. "I tried to do my best early in the week...to prepare our team for what we would face today, as it is no secret that I am familiar with the Saints...."
