papachaz
there were so many holding calls against them not called today, that long pass play to shipley for the td there was blatant holding on the right side and uncalled. Abe gets held like this all the time and it's rarely called

NCFalconfan
I'm dead serious when I say this, John Abraham gets held more than anyone I've seen in my 30+ years of watching/playing football. This guy has an arm around his neck most of the time and the fact that holding gets called so little against him is in indictment against honest officiating and fuels the argument that NFL is a "pro offense" league. pured-hallfan
Well you know they have to hold Abe on every play cause even when they do he gets a two sack game. The NFL is clearly pro-offense and most star DEs are allowed to be held simply because teams can't find other ways to effectively block them. Officials will not protect Abe on these holding calls and we should come to except it.

Flyin' In DC
I guess since it is not a helmet to helmet choke hold it is legal :P
=abrahamburger=
When Abe shucks them, there is often that hold right there. Either that, or he's pushed down at the back by the OT which is also illegal... but overlooked by the zebras. When he isn't held, he gets sacks. Actually, he still gets sacks when he is held:(Yeah, I know you've already seen it but he's my favorite player so BACK OFF!)
mike83z
The refs need to do a better job across the NFL. I wish they were a non-factor.
Statick
Let's take a peek what the ref was thinking as ignores the holding call while watching Palmer from behind: "Ooh dream weaver I believe you can get me through the night Ooh dream weaver I believe we can reach the morning light..." Statick
Ref: "Uh oh, a hold! But I have Palmer on my fantasy team, so I'll ignore it."

Seriously.you really should, thats some bs how he missed that or just didn't pull the flag... leeds me to really believe they hate the falcons so they don't enforce penalties on opposing teams Ref: "Uh oh, a hold! Dr. Billings
In the 3rd quarter Jonathan Babs was held to the point that Stevie Wonder could have made the call. We were beating those guys in the trenches all game long.Kudos to Vance Walker. I think he has proven his worth in the rotation.

blackredfellow
Its not really worth getting bent out of shape about. All fans think their defenders get held more than others. My Steeler cheering friend swears that Harrison is held on EVERY play. All my Redskin cheering friends swear Orakpo is held more than "any other defender in the NFL." It happens to every team, not just us. Truth is, the rules are more unclear, and the refs are more inconsistent than they have ever been. Holding is the most all over the map call in football. Abe gets held like this all the time and it's rarely calledHe really does. I yell "THAT'S A HOLD!" so much at the TV that it's kind of become a joke my girlfriend uses to make fun of me.Truthfully there's holding on EVERY SINGLE snap in football on most levels, from pee-wee up to the pros. That's usually the first thing you learn as an o-lineman- how to get away with holding. But the BLATANT stuff, like the straightup choke holds you see Abraham fight through every Sunday, really REALLY need to be flagged more often.
