Dharma Initiative
He's doing very well over there. I think he and Dunta are quite a combo

Lucky_Tom
Carson was definitely going at Chris Owens hard today.Yup, hopefully folks will stop trying to pick a side in the Dunta/Grimes debate and take solace in the fact that when they are both playing, our two best corners are on the field. Psychic Gibbon
On one side you have the hard hitting Robinson who has a good reputation which makes QBs think twice to throw over there (unless they pass short) and on the other you have the athletic Grimes who can come out of no where to get an INT or pass deflection. It is a very underrated CB duo, in my opinion.Owens, on the other hand, showed he's best left to nickel and dime packages.
Tandy Gossett
It's unusual to not be worried when we face a passing offense. I used to always sweat when we played a passing team as we kept a "Toast" CB on our roster. I currently feel confident in all our corners. Any CB we have can hold their own against any WR thrown at us. C. Owens didn't look bad, he had some missed played downs but he's a rookie basicly so you couldn't ask for more from him. Franks will be a beast in a year or so. I think Grimes is a sleeper on our roster and that's why he gets the picks he does. People pick on him because of his size but he's our Keith Lockhart if you will. Great pickup and comes thru in the clutch.
cyofish
he has locked down his side of the field so far this year!!! i havent seen too many passes caught on him, i think hes quietly havin a great season. anyone else agree???I was at the game and Grimes was clearly the best CB we had on the field. He played Owens and Ocho pretty tight. After the first couple of series Palmer wasn't even looking over his way much. On the other hand Owens struggled. He gave the receivers a lot of cushion. There were a couple of plays where T.O. got behind him but Palmer missed on his throws (one over throw and another where T.O. couldn't keep both feet in). Ocho got most of his yards on Owens. mcsupersport
I hope this finally puts to dead, buried and cemented over, the idea that Owens should play outside and we should move Grimes to nickle......hopefully.I think Grimes is our #1 corner, but as long as Drob and Grimes are on the field, then we are playing our best and I kinda feel sorry for the other team.........not really, but it sounds better when put that way...... .It is a shame that Grimes isn't getting more media attention, but hopefully that means we can resign him for cheaper money because he isn't a "NAME" like Drob was or Revis. But you know you have a quality corner when QBs AREN'T throwing at him more than a couple of times a game. Sure he will give up some catches but when the game is on the line, QBs are starting to look at the other side from him, which is a good thing for our team. dominatethesouth
I'm just gonna say it even though I'm sure some will think I'm crazy. Brent Grimes, since the last 4 games of last season through now, has been every bit as good as Revis or any other corner in the NFL. He's the most overlooked talent at the position in the NFL. The good thing about it is as long as the Falcons keep winning and make some noise in the playoffs, the time will come when everyone recognizes that Grimes is an elite corner that shuts down whoever he's lined up against. SatJackSA_ATLFAN
Chris Owens is still young, he has massive upside, he showed us what he could do a couple of times last year. Chad Ocho Cinco and Terrel Owens are 2 of the best receivers to every play in the NFL so give the guy a break. He didnt play well at all, but saying he is an exclusive nickle back is stupid. Im pretty sure people were saying the same thing about grimes last season. All in good time my friends.

since68andcounting
They completed a couple on Grimes today, but not near as many as they threw on Owens and Williams. They took a couple shots early at Grimes but when he got airborne and knocked the ball away from TO they quit throwing at him. Late in the game they came back his way a little. I MUS WRITE
What I really like is the way grimes is tackling this year-We all knew he was good in coverage but his physicality was the issue...........Grimes is doing well and his play is showing me why we didnt give the starting spot to Owens,
The Chunk
Not bad for a guy who was allegedly too short to be an NFL cornerback 12 months ago.
Tim Mazetti
Grimes is very good. Remember, this is the first year these guys in the D backfield have all played together, and hopefully for many more years!
Falconcheff
Interesting fact on Grimes...He's the last player to ever make an int in the NFL Europe League. He had a game-sealing int for the World Bowl Champions Hamburg Sea Devils in the final World Bowl. Even then, like five/six years ago, I was on this board telling people what a gem we had in this NFL Europe kid who was a roster development player.
