40+ yard passes

2008-9

2009-4

2010-4...in only 7 games, so he is making more successful throws down the field than last season

Passing yards/game

2008-215

2009-208

2010- 245

Att/game

2008-27

2009-32

2010-36...so we are ball controlling through passing much better, and the team is letting him air it out more

Wow, looks like Matt is on track to have his best year yet!

And Turner had better running lanes today due to an effective passing game.

That's what it's all about. Sometimes the pass will open up the run like it did today. Others, the running game opens up the pa pass. I'm excited about where we're headed this year. We played a great game on the offensive side of the ball and keep in mind our defense is without Spoon and Dunta. We'll be back right back on track. Get your champagne or beverage of choice ready for a memorable season . [That was in reference to our potential super bowl season run this year].

i hoped MM reliazes now that u can still be a power running team even if we pass to set up the run sometimes... nothing wrong with that....

MM surprised me today with his playcalling. He did a nice job mixing things up and being more aggressive. It helped the running game. I just hope MM realizes he can't drift back into the role of Mr. Predictable playcaller and expect to have a running game. He needs to keep it up consistently.

Just imagine if we got somebody better than Jenkins to line up opposite of White.

Since coming back, he has 8 receptions for 124 yards -- 15.5 yards per catch. What more do you want from your #3 option in the passing game (I consider Gonzalez the #2)? And, as they showed on NFC Playbook last week, even against the Eagles having Jenkins on the field seemed to open up some deep routes that weren't there when he was injured.

Oh, a positive Ryan thread. It's about time. He looked good out there yesterday. That long pass was awesome and the TD to Finn was seriously threading the needle.

So, how many versions of "FlyFalcon" will be conveniently absent for the next two weeks? I'm glad for a nice vacation from that lunatic.

Nowhere in what I said did I label him as a bad player. I like what Jenkins brings to the team, but we can do better than him, there is absolutely no denying that.

I'd like to get that slot reciever that can make a 5 yard check down into a big play. (Like the Bengals got with Jordan Shipley). Maybe Douglas can still be that guy as his knee gets healthier. He has to work on catching the ball with contact though.

Randall Cobb immediatly comes to mind.

Props to Ryan for the hard work and improvement in year 3 ! Its showing up in the win column and the stat book.

He's also the fastest WR on the team that is a serious option in the passing game (don't know if he's faster than Weems or not, but he's faster than Roddy, Harry and Finn).

He has issues with his hands -- he spots up too many catchable balls that end up being INTs. But Jenkins is a serious deep threat receiver. People need to recognize that he brings a different dimension to this offense.
