Anyone who thinks Ryan has a noodle arm needs to smoke somemore crack

• A 45 yard precission strike to Roddy for a TD.

• A nice throw to Roddy, over is shoulder for a big pick up.

• Another perfect throw to Gonzo late in the fourth over his shoulder.

• A laser to Finn that was thrown to a place that only a falcon could get too, for a TD mind you.

• A great throw to Jenkins that was picked off. If the CB didn’t time a perfect jump and make an acrobatic INT it was a TD.

• A perfect throw to Gonzo on 3rd down that was dropped, but again place where only Tony could have caught it.

Yeah, precision, accuracy and power!!!

I only recall one throw away and he was definitely not staring down his receivers. Give the kid some time and he'll make his progressions all day long. And nice bounce back after getting hit hard from behind.

Ryan was bombing a bunch today, it was like they read our comments, and Pat yasinkas screaming for him to throw the bomb more. Glad they listened. :)

That TD throw to Roddy off the playaction was Ryans call in the huddle. I think that Ryan should start calling more in the huddle because I think he gets a better feel for the game

all week stupid people on here have been saying we need to fire MM and Matt can't throw deep well i guess stupid people will keep saying things like that no matter what

Wow...How does it look from up there in the clouds? First of all, any true FOOTBALL fan who knows the game knows that Ryan has ENOUGH arm. It's not a bazooka by any stretch of the imagination. However, he can get it where it needs to be. That being said, he had a few throws like every qb does that could have made the game even more of a nail biter.

I'm also not willing to give props to Mularkey considering anybody who has a brain could see that we haven't stretched the field at all this year. Maybe this gives him enough guts to open up the offense.

Very upset at Jenkins for the INT...I was telling my girlfriend thats what po'es me about Jenkins, he doesnt attack the ball. He lets the ball come to him.

If that was Roddy or Finn on that pass, they would have attacked the ball.

Nah, not on that one. There's no way that Jenkins could have put on the brakes, come back and attack the ball. That's not what his route was and there was no way for him to anticipate a great play on the ball. If Hall is off a fraction, the ball is right in Jenkins hands so he was where he was supposed to be...

I was on the chat from the game. I was trying to find someone who was at the game with me. During pre-game warm ups - Ryan threw a 60 yard completion - Rainbow - to Harry Douglas - who never even looked up for it until the very last second. He then followed that up with a 64 yard rope into the end zone to Harry.

I was yelling because I wanted someone to be there and see it.

I told my husband then - that will be in the game today - but not Harry. Why? Because the Bengal players were out there and they saw it too. I said - today will be Roddy's day. He asked why? I said, because Roddy didn't have a TD last week - today he'll be Ryans hot read.

Tandy, how did Harry look throughout the game, didn't really get to see much of the game over here in Australia, I haven't really had a chance to see him play since the injury last year.

Harry didn't get much love today - Roddy was stealin' all the thunder!

However, Harry looked great. He wasn't targeted, but he did his part. I haven't re-watched the game on DVR yet - and there are always things you miss when you see it live - but I think he did a good job when he was out there.

In pre-game warm-ups - he was a beast. Like I said - I saw two absolutely beautiful TD catches by him - and I mean in the air - tight in the hand catches. I know, I know - pre-game - but Harry looked awesome.

Yea as tall as Jenkins is he could have jumped and snagged that ball at the highest point. I do not think Leon Hall could have stopped him if he did. Jenks let him have that INT. I am sure he got a mouth full after that or at least will hear about it in film study this week. As WR's and DB's your taught to go get the ball at the highest point.

be fair man, he was running in front of the CB and seemed to have OK seperation but the CB just made a really great and acrobatic play... i didn't see the defender having any chance of making a play on that ball... we've talked all season about how we need to hit receivers in stride instead of hooks and out routes, and we are doing that now... unfortunately this time it was just really well defended... you can't blame Jenkins.

Really good post.

I'm not even close to being mad at Ryan or Jenkins for that play.....Just a freakishly good INT by the corner.

ok, somebody explain to me how a strong wins superbowls? we have had 3 of the strongest armed QB's in the NFL and zero championships.

It doesn't necessarily.

It's just another tool in the toolbox for a quarterback.

Joe Montana might be the weakest-armed quarterback to have ever won a Superbowl.....

He also might be the best quarterback who has ever played in the NFL........ ;)

Personally I thought Dan Marino was the best QB to ever play in the NFL.....

He had it all IMO, except of course for the consistent supporting cast...... -_-
