OK Yall Ready? The Defense Will Get Railed This Week

Recommended Posts

This board has many ebbs and flows.

It definitely blows in the wind from week to week.

This week all the defensive haters will show up. Trust me on this one folks.

When you see the neggy defensive posts just say:

5-2

First in the NFC South

First in the NFC

First in the NFL

Any questions about that? I'm jus askin.

ATL vs NE in the Super Bowl is looking more like a distinct possibility.

We better get ready for Billy Check. He has owned us in the past.

Rise folks. Fans. Media. Coaches. Players. Cheerleaders. You name it.

This is our year. Trust me.

were not first in the NFL?

Yeah looks like I blew that one. PIT, NE, NYJ are still a half game ahead. Well lets see where it shakes out after our bye.

I believe we can beat PIT and NYJ. NE concerns me. But I'll worry about that in the Super Bowl.

How bout NO, MIN, PHI, WAS, TB, NYG, GB, DAL and ARI?

We Risin up folks.

Or just point out that DRob, Spoon were out and DeCoud went out early. Completely different game with those 3 in.

Or that one of those TDs was a fumble return and isn't the D's fault.

And the 64 yard TD pass could have easily been a tackle and a 4th down had the first man there done his job- willing to bet that Spoon could have caught him.

Neither one finished the game today.

Their replacements rose up though.

Great depth.

Pop your popcorn folks this will be a good year. Trust me.

I'm willing to give the defense a bit of a break. They essentially had the 2009 D out there and it showed. Does the excuse them for the 3rd quarter meltdown? No, not by a long shot. However, when you're missing your number one corner, playmaker OLB, and starting FS then its only a matter of time before the secondary falls apart. The one problem I had with the play calling was playing soft when Palmer continuously went to Ocho on out routes in the 3rd... Be more aggressive with them when they keep doing that!

The bye comes at a good time. Robinson, Weatherspoon, and DeCoud will all be back for the Bucs game which has suddenly become an extremely important divisional game. I just hope that Smith replaces Peterson with Nicholas. Peterson is looking sluggish out there and Nicholas is a very solid player. A Weatherspoon-Lofton-Nicholas linebacker corps will be one of the best in the league!
