lju713
i remember draft day "05", and eagerly waiting for that 27th pick to come in. We were fresh from being 1 win away from a superbowl and when his named was called i was one of the millions to say WHO!!!!!!!. Albeit he always showed the ability(speed, size, playmaking skills)he was always inconsistent. I am glad he has developed into the big play WR we have last around here since the days of Rison and Mathis. I see improvement in Jam98's game and i hope his pressures turn to sacks, and i hope Spoon,Jerry,Franks,Owens,Moore,DeCoud, take a page out of 84's book. The_ATL
It wasn't so much that Roddy did have the skills or that he needed to develop them as much as it was a lifestyle change he had to make.Realizing what he was doing and fixing that speak a lot about his character, Joe Horn was also a huge reason Roddy is where he is today. lju713
Exactly..we always knew he had the talent it was a issue of maturity and just becoming a pro. The best thing that came out of the Petrino debacle was the maturation of White. i just hope some of our other draft picks can "turn the corner"
Falc_Fan_Since_Six
I still have to tip my hat to a player I once hated when he was a saint. That player is Joe Horn. Why? Because I think during the short time that he was here that Joe Horn had a profound impact on Roddy. Roddy himself has given Horn a lot of credit for giving him good advice and showing him how to be a pro. Joe Horn didn't do much on the field as a Falcon and he killed us over the years he was a saint but we should all thank him for the influence he had on Roddy. ki46dinah
Jamaal Anderson is nothing like Roddy. Nothing.Roddy showed up his rookie year, did well. Then he regressed, but still showed some sparks in his 2nd season. Then he went buck wild.Jamaal didnt show up his rookie year. Then he didnt show up his 2nd year. And he still hasnt shown up since...the guy is still a massive bust, and although isnt completely worthless to this team this season, was not worthy of even being an NFL draft pick.
