Patro
Carson Palmer has had an AWFUL season so far, he's a top bottom QB. Yet he's destroying our D, we gotta step it up. This is unacceptable.

MilleniumFalcon
Without Weatherspoon and Dunta, our defense is basically the same as last year... which is bottom of the pack. Edited October 24, 2010 by MilleniumFalcon

BackForThe2ndTime
No Robinson. I'm not that worried. Not to mention the Bengals have weapons and they are still working on their chemistry.

falconidae
Half the secondary was out - DRob, and DeCoud early in the game, plus Spoon was missing. Those 3 play, the game plays out a whole lot differently.
Mid-Nite-Toker
The CB need to bump and run some. It was 3rd and 12 and BVG blizted on the Shipley TD. Mix up the pass coverage and the defense will be better. Let's not forget the "O" gave up 2 TO as well. Faithful Falcon
Carson Palmer has had an AWFUL season so far, he's a top bottom QB. Yet he's destroying our D, we gotta step it up. This is unacceptable.Carson Palmer is not a bad QB, he just has a terrible OL. We played him well, but his receivers made some great plays. We had a fumble for a TD taken away from us. A terrible pass interference call against Owens. Benson ran the ball well, so it opened the defense up. The only problem was the scheme that we were in. They nickel and dime us a lot. Robb4242
No Robinson, no Spoon, % DeCoud goes out early. That's 3 guys we depend on in coverage out of the game. I think that we did ok considering. They really picked on Owens a lot in this game who wouldn't have been in there if Robinson would have played. That said though, our pass defense still really does need to improve some. Even at full strength we were not great against the pass.
falconfanjason
I thought Grimes played pretty well. Chris Owens had a tough time out there. We need Robinson and Weatherspoon back in a big way. Still, I'm happy to have the "W".

Spoooooooon4MVP
brightside a quarterback can have the game of his career and still lose to the falcons. that's what i take away from this win.
RBWAYZ
I totally agree with your assessment. The Falcons Offense must always push the emphasis. ALWAYS!!! I been waiting for 20 years for this team to develop a DEFENSE that lives up to toughness, consistency, and cohesiveness. To allow the Bengals or any team to erase a 21 point deficit is violently disgusting to tolerate. Play Hard, Go Hard, every **** Time. Week after week its a lack of focus throughout the entire game. Push the pile FALCONS, the fans and supporters deserves better each time you strap it on. You wear Red & Black, Be It!, Become It!. Lets GO Sunday will be here soon. They nickel and dime us a lot.I can agree with all of those assessments, except for the first one. You obviously haven't seen Palmer play this season, he has played awfully bad. Making the wrong reads, throwing into double coverage, taking years to unload from the ball, developed an INT issue etc...He hasn't been the same one prior the '08 season. Yet he put over 400 yards on us and 3 TD's.I know we weren't playing with 'Spoon, DeCoud and Robinson. But we're not always going to be on full health during the season, and when an elite O comes around at a time were we have a starter or two injured we're gonna be in deep trouble. Therefore, my assessment that the rest of 8 starting players should step it up and the subs to play their best possible football.
schwarzenegger321
Palmer is not a bottom ten QB. He is no way a top tier or elite QB, probably middle of the pack QB. He has a lot of talent but I think that knee injury did him in. The bengals also have two exceptional WR and a good running game.Half our secondary was out. Our safeties need to play better but the real concern is the pass rush, or lack there of. Patro
Palmer is the #6 QB in the NFL for YPG, and #6 for TDs.I can play that game too if you want me. Prior to this game, Palmer was 24th in the NFL for QB Rating, 24th on %passes completed, 18th on YPA and 7:6 TD to INT ratio. Not too mention all the int's the opposite DB's dropped (just like Ownes today). And to, Faithful Falcons post saying Palmer had an awful O-Line. He has been sacked 9 time season, compared to Ryan's 14. Once against, not try to troll/flame. Just pointing out something I didn't like to day and I'd like to addressed. Having TO and Ocho to catch balls you toss toward them helps as well. The 'addressing' is to get Dunta, DeCoud, and Spoon back. Having Beerman getting back on the sack train would help as well. I Even Bleed Red
Palmer is not a bottom 10 QB, but our secondary gives up way too many big plays. We did it today and last week. Yes, our secondary is a little banged up, but part of the reason is because we don't put consistent pressure on the opposing QB. They have a lotta time to shred our banged up secondary, which, I'm not sure, will be a whole lot better even with the injured players returning. It's not a good thing in the long run and it's certainly not championship football.

Scorpion
What are you talking about? Granted Carson Palmer has not had a good season he is still a good QB if you look at the history past 3-4 weeks. Not to mention Cinci has very good team on paper that has been underperforming first few weeks.
