They know that sooner or later someone is going to get killed or seriously injured and they know a lawsuit is just waiting to happen. Now they can say that they tried to discourage those "Devastating" hits. There is no way they can distinguish between a legal hit and an illegal hit. It's like trying to argue balls and strikes. Truly, trial lawyers have changed almost every aspect of our society, and now they are affecting the NFL. I wonder which blows are illegal in Boxing? Hockey ? Volleyball ? Look at what the NBA is asking for the salleries to be cut and with teams having so many blackouts that can't be good for media contracts.
