Dominique is Manufique
Cincinnati sitting at 2-3 is going to be a very tough test. Bye weeks do matter. Now, they definitely matter more for coaches like bill bedcheck (courtesy of L.T. - the real L.T.) and andy reid. I know marvin lewis is not in this class of coaches but facing a team starving to reach .500 will test how strong ATL is particularly coming off a very poor showing.I do think ATL plays much better at home and avoiding back to back losses is coach smith's #1 goal week in and week out. This game will be a great measuring stick to see the fortitude this team has. Can they put a bad loss behind them and wipe the slate clean? or will this eagles loss linger and be looked at as a turning point to the season?Let's get out to the dome and support this club in another big home game! madman88
yea, and to make this worse, they saw a eales team that straight dominated our defense... i wouldnt be surprised at all if they test us to see if we learned from sunday on thoes reverses and end-arounds.... freebird587
im not overlooking the bengals, but they dont have the talent, coaching and home field advantage that philly did,so im not too worried, but know anything can happen

Plunket76
The Bengals are 2-4-1 after the bye under Marvin Lewis.
sharky
All this proves is that the bengals will be better rested and maybe less injuries.
BCEagleATLFalcon
Last year, around Weeks 6 and 7, was exactly where our promising season was beginning to unravel. since68andcounting
I think that Eagles game will become a blueprint for how teams gameplan on us. Misdirection and deep balls on offense, 8-9 in the box on D. We better be ready for MUCH more of the same until we show we can beat it. A.F.W.O.
Last year the Bengals seemed to have a good defense. I know that was last year, but lets hope that defense is still asleep.Dunta will be missed, but Moore has three (I think) INTs with Decoude right there with 2 INTs. HOpe both of those two continue reading the QB's eyes! Here is to hope that no more injuries take place at the Dome and that the crowd brings the NOISE like Dunta lays the WOOD!GO Falcons!RISE UP 12th MAN! Starting off slow it's not going to work.

MattyIcy
+1 My thoughts exactly.I dont think we will be fooled yet again! There's too much pride & class in this team to make a mockery of themselves in front of their own home crowd.I foresee our CB'S getting burned yet again & we burn them with our 'running' game.Close game with .....falcons winning in last few mins with yet another field goa! It should be fun though....

So I am really hoping for a win this Sunday. The reason why I gave you +1 because I love your postive attitude. I'm just having a little trouble getting over lost. I'm just real passionate about my Falcons.
PokerSteve
The Bengals will be extremely hard to beat even though they will be playing on the road against a very vocal fan base at the Dome. They are a way better team than Cleveland or San Fran in my opinion, and look how close the Falcons came to dropping those games. I think this will be a low-scoring game, with the Bengals getting the lead early and the Falcons again having to try and come back and pull off a miracle finish in the last minute of the game. Despite a determined and spirited effort, the Falcons aren't going to be able to pull another rabbit out of the hat this time and will lose 21-17. huey7
Ya big time test. Were rebounding off a loss as well as heading into the bye week and Cincys coming off a bye. It will be a close one and I am thinking this is gonna be a shootout.
The Don™
Eh, whatever. I think we're gonna be pissed and play angry after that beatdown in Philly. Plus, we are money at home.
MilleniumFalcon
Some people that I know who are very good against the spread in their predictions really like Cincinnati in this game for several factors.Cincinnati is usually money when they're dogs, well rested and coming off a bye week, the team is very motivated. Atlanta is coming from being physically dominated against the Eagles and the team is beat up, the secondary is thin without Dunta Robinson. Cincinnati is a very physical team and can control the game at the line on both sides of the ball.I still think Atlanta wins in a close one but wouldn't be surprised if we lost. I believe in and trust our team to avoid the deja vu and come out on fire against Cincy.Yes, last year we were 4-1 looking pretty before we got dominated by the Cowboys in Dallas. After that we lost 5 of the next 7 games... hopefully this year will be different as the schedule "on paper" is easier. However, offensively right now it reminds me a lot of last year... and defensively we're pretty much the same as last year without Weatherspoon and Dunta. =abrahamburger=
Having Norwood, Turner, Ryan, and Douglas on the IR also contributes to a downfall. *Knock on wood* Three of those four guys are healthy. I can't see us losing 5 of 7 like we did last year... especially since Cinci is the last team we face coming off a bye this year.

To me this game is turning into a must win for the dysfunctional fan base if not the team itself.
