AFMB PHILOSOPHY- The Homer, The Realist, The Dramatic

Im just taking the time out to inform those who have not realized the difference between these type of message boarders.

I will give an example. You ready? Here we go.

After A loss

The Dramatic- "OMG! The season is over! Fire every single person that had something to do with it. We will not win another game.

The Realist- They notice specific reasons as to why we may have loss the game. They take a step back and view things that went wrong and what could be corrected. They have constructive criticism & strive for perfection from the team.

The Homer- lalala. Don't worry guys. we just loss to a really good team ; You guys act like we have to beat really good teams to make it through the playoffs. its just one loss. Nothing needs changing. We just had a bad game. I love the smell of all kind of flowers and mother nature. Kumbaya people kumbaya

I think Im a realist, but I do at times lean towards the "sky is falling" when we lose really bad.

But I also become a homer when we win really big.

I'm all 3 at different times:

Before every season starts I'm a Homer.

Once the season starts I like to think that I'm a Realist with "Homer leanings."

After the team deposits a complete turd of a performance on the field like they did this past Sunday I'm probably overly Dramatic.....wondering how in the world we are ever going to win another game if it isn't played against DeVry Technical College.

So, probably I would guess in many ways I'm a typical Falcon fan...... :mellow:

Why limit it to after a loss? Since confesssion is good for the soul, why not categorize youself first

Being a realist never helped me cope with a loss so I will stay in homer land. I am not a crazy homer though. I feel like I have realistic expectations but I have high hopes every Sunday.

I always love these definitions because it defines whether someone is a pessimist or an optimist by how they define a realist. If someone considers themselves anything other than a realist it automatically invalidates their opinion.

I'm a realist. I don't come to the boards much after a loss because I can't stand the sky is falling threads.

I've known all year we've had weaknesses. When we lose, the other team just exposes them.

Good post. I would only add that there are at least seven sub categories in each of the three types.

I'm a realist. I try to stay in the middle and deal with facts only.

I fully expected and predicted a beat down in PHI and that's what happened. I am resting comfortably this week and looking forward to CIN.
