Guest Gritz
Maybe I'm not adhering to the 24 hour rule, but I was so shocked by what I saw from our Falcons yesterday that I didn't sleep last night (and I just got back from my first day of what looks like a week of jury duty....I'm dead on my feet.....but I digress).I get home from the courthouse and I read that both Spoon and Robinson will be out this week. Now I'm no fool. I know that the trio of Palmer, Ochocinco and TO haven't exactly been lighting it up every week.....but I haven't really seen the Falcons do the same yet either (if you throw out the Cardinals game...).Tell me I'm just exhausted, that I'm reading too much into yesterday's poor performance(s), but mainly give me some good, logical sound-football-logic reasons why we will beat the Bengals this Sunday.I don't see it. Atl/0
This is going to be a tough game but if the bucs can beat them so can we.
Peyton
It's a rough matchup with the injuries. If Palmer has one of his better games, probably bad news for the Birds. The good news is he doesn't have too many of those "better games" anymore.
stripedss
Your concerns are very valid. The only thing I see that we have on our side is the home record. We are tuff to beat at the dome. But I digress....San Fran handled us didn't they?
FalconinPA
You have a valid point. I am not feeling good about this one either. We are gonna have a hard time matching up with TO and Ocho. Grimes and Owens will have their hands full. Hopefully they can "RISE UP" to the occasion.

Cardwell
The fact that it is a home game helps too. Keep in mind we are undefeated at home and 1-2 on the road.
obmann
Maybe I'm not adhering to the 24 hour rule, but I was so shocked by what I saw from our Falcons yesterday that I didn't sleep last night It was not the first falcons loss, but to be honest. I am still feel sick.....so sick since a long time ago. Perhaps it was the Cards playoffs game, because the falcons were the better team and lost with bad moments. And I had a strong feeling, that the falcons could go all the way, if the beat the Cards.......You all know, how far the Cards went.....Okay there was a very sick moment. But otherwise.....I have a short memory and monday is always better. But I am feeling even worse today. I went to work and I said several times to myself...."This was so bad yesterday, so bad...."The team could make a statement yesterday and then this comes out? I called Carson Palmer out after the Bucs game. I said, that he is over.....But perhaps Palmer will stand up against this defense.... ukfalc
With the Bungles coming off their bye week, having an extra week to prepare and get healthy, this will be tough.Good teams react well after bad losses, and this coaching staff has a history of doing so, but at this moment nothing would surprise. I wouldn't be shocked if we won by 20 or lost by 20.

I just noticed the Bucs game is on Nov 7 followed by a Thur night game on Nov 11 (JUST 4 DAYS) against the Ravens. Are we going to take another beat down on national TV ? Only thing I feel we have going for us is we're at home. I'm gradually starting to get over yesterday (although that one sat with me like the Eagles game last year and Cleveland '06), but if we don't show up in this one, even with all the games left to play I'd be willing to say this season is a wash. Losing is one thing, getting beatdown and embarassed is another.

Hashbrown3
well for one thing, we can act like philly did and overcome some crucial injuries with fantastic gameplanning. If we gameplan like we did against philly, then someone will have to be fired. Philly won running away with it. We fans need a win like that at our house bigtime!! falconidae
Well, Lewis is not Reid. Palmer doesn't have the arm or accuracy he once did.Neither TO or #85 run a 4.2 anymore.Drob won't necessarily be out- Rogers had a concussion, played the next week. Depends on the severity.Only reason the Bengals aren't 1-4 is because Flacco threw four picks. They kicked five FGs to win at Balt. They lost to cleveland and Tampa, Tampa at home. They beat Carolina for their only solid win.Odom has been suspended for the game.Because Smith and Ryan aren't going to allow back to back games like that.Because the falcons will be able to run on the bengals.15-1 at home for Ryan, 1-4 for the Bengals last year for road games outside their division. 1-2 on the road so far this year.Because the falcons aren't as good as they looked against Arizona or as bad as they looked against the eagles. sdogg
Your points are valid. What really concerns me is that they have 2 weeks to dissect our team and scheme. Most of us can dissect it in less than a qtr. Reid exposed ALL our flaws and I hope our staff can correct them real fast.

ki46dinah
I think we have a very good shot at beating the Bengals, especially if our team has a 'semblance of self-respect.Van Gorder and MM are realing after last week, and many players are playing for jobs(that includes Moore, Owens, and Nicholas). The Bengals have a better secondary than the Eagles, but their front 7 isnt quite as active. That being said, our defense has to show up and play physical. We simply cannot limp into our bye week with 2 straight losses.
