supremedarius
I guess I should of added this to another THREAD but oh well, I will just start my own. Have you noticed that every throw by Ryan has to be perfect because the other teams know what the route combinations will lead too, the windows will be small. I mean, every QB is going to miss throws, its just the nature of the position, BUT when you have a tight window to throw into and every throw has to be PERFECT. Not making excuses for him or any other play but since last year, you watch our games, EVERY THROW has to be perfect. When have you seen our player just go up and TAKE the ball. Ryan doesn't trust his WR to make a play on the ball. We run no crossing routes, no deep in routes, WHY DIDNT we run the same play to JENKS again on the post route. Its just things that IRK me about the O...Ah well, onto the main culpritOnto Mularky, all we ask for an ACTUAL gameplan for opponent. More double moves should of been used knowing that Asante likes to jump things. It worked one time, why didn't we use it again. Its like, adjustments are not his thing. Its like, we are going run our gameplan. If it does not work, we are screwed. The blueprint is out on US. The Browns showed the league what they have to do to beat us... supremedarius
With in my opinion one of the top 3 receivers in the game in White and a hall of fame tight end why dont we throw the ball MORE anyway, we run to open up the pass maybe sometimes we should pass to open up the run!!We threw it 43 times, the problem is that, EVERYTHING is curls, comeback routes, and short out routes. Route combinations always get OVERSHADOWED as far as how important it is. We do not create matchup problems, we do not attack teams weaknesses. Gonzo, cannot blow past LBs anymore, NOR are they allowing him too. Don't run him on streak routes to clear out players..Its frustrating watching our O but until MM, it will continue to be more of the same.. Psychic Gibbon
Mularkey has been described as uncreative and predictable when it comes to play calling as far back as 2003. He has a habit of making a perfect scheme for a team when he firsts arrives and then never changes it and after a while everyone figures this out. This is why the Steelers fired him, this is why the Dolphins fired him... Even the Bills fired him for being too inept. You know exactly what is going to happen based on the formations he calls up since he believes maximizing formations is the only way to do things. When the offense is bunched up you know he called a run play and when they're somewhat spread out you know he called a pass play. He calls the same plays repeatedly, every pass play has similar routes, and for run first team I can count the amount of times play action has been called throughout the season on one hand, not counting that same bootleg he calls every game. There is zero creativity, no mixing things up, total predictability. Defenses are able to stuff the run and jump routes all the time. They know what is coming and are completely prepared for it. There is a reason why the offense has been struggling all year and it isn't Ryan. Turner has been struggling, White should be doing better, Gonzalez is struggling to get open, Douglas is doing poorly, the O-line is under too much stress to make things happen against defenses dialed up against them.Mularkey has to go. The offense has been struggling against average and below average defenses all season and the only time it does well is typically when Ryan goes no huddle and is under pressure to make things happen (ie. to ignore the idiotically, overly conservative game plan). If this offense is going to get on track someone new is needed in the booth immediately.

I have asked former Bills and Dolphins fans about Mularkey and they always say the same thing, he is very predictable and if me and you can figure out what our O is going to do, don't they know DC from other teams can do the same thing. As I stated previously, all QBs miss throws and you are like WTF, but I think the pressure is building up in Ryan and he is starting to show it. Every throw has to be perfect for him to get the the ball to the receiver because the CBs are right on the WRs hip. We do not run pick routes, we do not run crossing routes, no slants, no screens, no deep in routes. Its just annoying..When I go to the bar with falcons fan, we all say the same thing, we need to open it up passing. The coordinator stlll runs the same plays since Ryans rookie year..
