JD dirtybird21
I know it's frustrating that we lost and that we didn't play well at all. But we are 4-2, not 2-4. The fact we that we just got done playing 3 of our last 4 games on the road, I'm happy with 3-1 in that span. It's hard to win on the road ESPECIALLY when it's 3 weeks out of 4. But our team has an incredible home record in the last 2 and half years and we have only played 2 home games this season and we are STILL 4-2. Teams have bad weeks, we just had a bad week. This doesn't mean that we're overrated, and or that we are going to start a losing trend. I believe that there is something different about this team this year than the last few years. This team doesn't quit, and finds ways to win. Last year, when we lost a game like this, I would be angry and lose faith in our team. But honestly, after this loss today, I just shrugged my shoulders and said "you can't win them all." The Falcons have shown me this season that they are winners and will do whatever it takes to win. I have confidence that they'll put this loss behind them and get fired up for a homecoming against Cincy. Stop letting the crybabies and trolls bring your mood down. We lost, that sucks, but its over, and it is what it is, but our team at the end of day though, is 4-2, not 2-4. We may not be elite, but I'll take our start of the season over more than 75% of the other teams out there. But there is plenty of season left and we have more games at home than on the road. I think we will be just fine.
BADTOLZ
I agree. Today was horrible (and I haven't even watched the game...had to watch updates on phone every like 30 sec.) but I think hopefully we can learn from this and if anything keep us in check (I hate saying that). I'd rather lose a game like this now then in week 14 or 16. Hopefully we'll right the ship and move on....that's all we can do. I do like your attempt at fighting a growing storm of negative posts. Much appreciated.

Guest mashburn
I'll say the same thing I said in another post.glad to see you stand by your team no matter what. but if your kid learns to do something wrong, would you continue to let him do it? you sound like that dad whos child is thrown in jail for stealing a firrai, all because you didn't stop your kid when he stole that pack of baseball cards.the falcons are being taught by the wrong coaches. OC and DC do not need to redo the same play everytime. any team who faces us could pick any of our 6 games and watch any one possesion of the O and one D. and the team will know what we are doing for the entire game.our D plays zone, and our O bunches all the players together when its a run. and if we throw just stay on the inside of the player cause its a lot of cut backs (and thats seems to be the major thing that helps, sad to say. Sidious
I'm happy they are 4-2 as well. But, let's not kid ourselves,if not for a botched FG by Hartley & if not for Roddy's hustle to strip a ball after an INT on our 6 with 1 minute left against SF, we would be 2-4 with only convincing wins against a headless Cardinals & the inept Browns. We have a good team but our deficiencies are glaring to good teams that can expose them. Pitt and Philly are both well coached teams. We had talent advantage in both of those games & were clearly outcoached & today's game our guys were out hustled as well.

But at the end of the day, we're 4-2 and that's just one step closer to the postseason. Even if we are overachieving, we found a way to win. Much appreciated.I somewhat agree; WE are winning overall. Really we are overachieving. We dont have the players that match up speed and strength wise with other teams. I have been criticising the front office for player personal since TD has been here. Not that I dont like TD, but he tends to be "needs based" when drafting ie overreaching for players because he sees are run at a particular position and does not take the best player available. Also trading a 2nd rounder for a HOF TE sounds great, but not when the guy will only play 2 years for the team, with the first year being a learning year. Peria Jerry is a 26 year old rookie. John Abraham will not play much longer either and to make matters worse the NFL Players Union suspects there wont be a 2011 season. So 2 of those players might not be around come 2012, and Jerry will be only in his second year as DT in the league at the age of 28. Dont get me started on Sam Baker. Not to mention that he, TD, is being "fiscally responsible" when getting free agents aka stingy. But the good news is we do have high character guys that play to the end. But that can only take you so far. That was why the coaching staff plays it safe. He knows our cbs are not fast enough to leave on a island and that our d, while decent against the run is still not getting to the QB. Also our linemen are failing to hold off thier blocks to have a deep passing game to scare opposing defences. We are predictable because we can not afford to recover from mistakes on offence or defence. Edited October 18, 2010 by Aria7
joenate
Here is my take: (You can take this as negative or construtive criticism, either way I do not care. This is just my opinion).I am satisfied with our record (4-2); however, I am far from satisfied with;1. Our team's performance today on all three fronts and in the trenches.2. Our supposedly elite, prolific offense's performance over the past three games. Our offensive woes had been over-shadowed by our winning streak. You can use the excuse that we are 4-2; however, I have heard this same tune previously. How did that end? We can beat up on the teams we are "supposed" to defeat. If we want to make the play-offs (which I believe we will) and advance and reach our ultimate goal, then we need to win on the road against decent teams. There is no excuse for the way our team played today. We did NOT look like a 4-1 team. The defense had an off day and we all know about the ST, but the OFFENSE has been looking like this way since the 49ers game.
