falcons4life
Ok, so we got our butts handed to us in all phases of this game. From coaching to execution it was quite poor. Yet this could be the slap in the face this team needed. Being exposed as we were can only result in some wholesale changes. I'm hoping this results in how this offense is prepared and how we build a game plan. Mularkey has to realize (finally) that the same plays week after week can't cut it in the NFL.How many waggle plays can we ineffectively run before it's replaced with something effective? The OTHER MM (Marty Morningwhig) schooled us today on how to game plan and design plays. In Mularkey's defense, the team and especially Ryan did not execute well at all today. Again, something that has to change after a beating like today's. So unless we are pretenders, I believe that this game is what we needed to come back to earth and get back to strong smash mouthed football instead of fawning over power polls and press clippings. I am optimistic about this teams future and NO ONE should be even close to throwing in the towel on this team. 4-2 with a strong dose of reality is a pretty good spot to be sitting in at this point.
