falconidae
Falcons should win Sunday- Eagles are one beat up team, esp. on the lines. It's the reverse of last year.Falcons front four will be in the backfield more often than McCoy. Eagles had given up 19 sacks for the year BEFORE they lost their starting Ltackle. There's a reason both their QBs got knocked out of games. Jamaal may have a multiple sack game. One of their best Dlinemen will either be out or playing with one arm. They were 25th in rush D with him.Falcons D allowed SF one offensive TD, Philly D gave up 3, and without 5 TOs from SF lose the game.Falcons should dominate both lines of scrimmage and win this game no matter who starts at QB for phil. And what will we hear from the Vick fans- if he plays, "well, if he'd been healthy, they would have won"And if he doesn't play- "well, if he'd played, they would have won."It's sad really, hasn't played for the falcons for 4 years and they still won't give up.... Sidious
I think Falcons will win but Vick was hurt not by ineffective blocking. He was injured going for the endzone. I believe that was another reason Reid made Vick the starter as just as in Atl, the Oline was so ineffective in pass protection. I'm not saying Vick's performance so far did not factor in; in fact that was the biggest factor. But IMO, he also knew Kolb would be buried behind that line. The key for Philly's offense will be able to run and when they do pass it will be short 3 step drops & a bunch of screens. In fact, the screen passes are the biggest worry to me. Hope our D will be ready for them because they ARE coming.
pr0d1gy
Vick got hurt by DEANGELO HALL....ROFLMAOFor a guy who spent a good bit of time in prison he sure is the biggest, sloppy wet pu55y in the league. DEANGELO HALL! omg THE IRONY! Vick got hurt by a guy who hits like a high schooler.
BadMoonRising
Vick to this point has played outstanding. Yes I think Kolb is the long term answer for the Eagles. But with the Eagles current offensive line his legs he is their best solution. But I am not trying to diminish his passing this season, I think in the games he has played he has been a better passer than he ever was in Atlanta.I think Vick learned how important football was, when he didn;t have it and now is doing the things he should be doing. Vick could of been the one of the best QB's to ever play the game, its ashame he waisted so many years ******* off.

He paid dearly in prison time & Arthur's paychecks were bigger than the ones Lurie is giving him.
kls82883
Vick has played outstanding thus far. But... he's due for a "vick" like meltdown where he holds the ball w one hand while scrambling and fumbles. He is also due for a horrible multiple interception game where he makes the wrong read or locks onto one receiver. Vick doesn't have the intelligence to be a great QB. Put McNabb or Peyton Mannings brain in Vicks body and u have the greatest QB of all time. But, unfortunately for Vick he doesn't have the intelligence. I hope Weatherspoon plays. His quickness and sideline to sideline coverage skills give him an excellent shot to terrorize Vick. With the Eagles O line, regardless of which QB plays, they are going to get hit and get hit hard
falconidae
From ESPN:Coach Andy Reid announced Friday that quarterback Kevin Kolb will start for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Atlanta Falcons.Looks like they'll be using the "well, if Vick had played" excuse. JRock2012
There are many pessimistic Falcons fans but it has nothing to do with Vick and everything to do with the history of this city. There was the same pessimism when Vick was here and this team was flying high.

JRock2012
 Did you not watch the play? It wasn't just a hit. There were two defenders who simultaneously hit Vick and he landed on the ball on top of that. That was a fluke injury
sharky
I'm happy Kolb is starting b/c they have a better chance to win with Vick. Bottom line.

Sidious
****! I wish I had the money to go there & watch this payback. Who is the backup to the backup for the Eagles? Plus McCoy has sore ribs too. He better hope he's called to run screens because he will find some pain trying to go up the middle & then finding Lofton & Moore aiming for him. AtlFan1971
All this Vick versus Ryan crap is so f^*&ing annoying. Even if MV was cleared to play and they won, does that mean he is better than Ryan? Ryan has not been in the league even 3 years yet, so trying to compare the two constantly makes me laugh to be quite honest! Vick should be better at this point in his career due to having been in the NFL more years than Ryan (9 years in NFL versus 3).The fact that this is still a debate and hard to tell who is the better QB makes me laugh that much more at those that want to keep wishing we had MV instead of Ryan. When Ryan has been in the NFL for 9 years I can tell you who is the better QB. As of right now, while Ryan has been our QB, Atlanta has won more games in almost 2 1/2 seasons compared to Vick. Vick used to be exciting to see on Sundays in Atlanta, but even those that love Vick have to admit his passing game SUCKED!!! Ryan has days where he is not at the top of his game, but almost every loss this team has had while Ryan has been here, we could have won with a few exceptions. So I'll take the improving and tuff as nails Ryan over a QB that is more suited to play the RB position and therefore runs the risk of being injured every game by trying to make things happen with his feet versus his arm. Vick does appear to have finally worked on his passing game, but he only demonstrated that for a couple of games versus average at best defenses. I wish he had the same work ethic he now has when he was in Atlanta pulling down a hefty salary causing my season ticket prices to soar! But trying to compare Vick a 9 year Vet versus Ryan a 3 year QB, just seems absolutely insane! My biggest enjoyment out of this debate, Ryan is only going to get better - Vick he is playing as good as he is going to get. So I choose the ever improving, hard working, tough as nails Matt Ryan over Vick any day! I will get back to those Vick lovers in 6 more years and we can see who accomplished more or was the better QB.
