Staying on top in the Division

I apologize if this has already been discussed.

I'm just wondering what the majority viewpoint is? Who would you rather see win this Sunday? Saints are visiting Bucs. I automatically thought "Go Bucs"! But on Second thought, that would bring the Bucs to 4-1 and they come to the GA Dome week 9. I think the Saints are still a better team than the Bucs, but this is a tough call for me.

Oh and obviously a tie would be the best result possible.

I'm actually going to say the Bucs. I want everyone else to have two losses and we're never going to look back.

Bucs. One of the Saints 2 losses is to us. We've yet to give the Bucs any losses; we will. Not to mention, I'm not yet sold on the Bucs sustaining their new found winning ways.

Bucs. I honestly wouldnt care that much if the Bucs took the division from the Falcons, so long as the Saints lose all the time, so these yokels here in Baton Rouge can shut their traps about their so called studly team

Since we have won a game against the Aint's at the SuperDome, I'd rather see the Bucs lose this game. Leaving ATL the only undefeated team in the Division. A tie would be great too...not likely.

I think the Saints have a chance of winning again once they get their health back, no matter what they're the champs. So I want them to lose more and fall into a deeper hole and miss the playoffs

Tough, tough question, and some great points both ways by previous posters. I'll go with a Saints loss, just because Saints losses are so much sweeter than Bucs losses at this point in time. Let the Falcons hang a pair of L's on the Bucs later on, and life is beautiful.

I hope the Bucs win and the Saints lose cuz we need to get as much distance from the Saints as possible. I think the Saints pose a greater threat to challenging our Falcons for the division than the Bucs.

A Saints loss is always a good day. If the Saints pick up enough RB's to get that aspect going and Bush comes back for the dump off or screens then they will be more competitive. I think Freeman is/will be good but I'm not concerned about them yet.

Even better they split. The Saints lose this one and start to come unglued then the Saints play spoiler to the Buc with the last game of the season.

I was thinking about this earlier today and came to the conclusion that my hatred for the Saints trumps the minor boost in the standings that we'd get.

Best case scenario: Bucs win, but both Freeman and Brees are knocked out for 6-8 weeks.

I was pretty much going to say the same thing. I'm still not sure about the Bucs yet. I would love to get more of a lead on the Saints now just in case they start winning again later on.

I agree, the Saints are still the better team than the Bucs, and if they sort their problems out, are a dangerous team. If they went 3-3, That would be sublime, considering they're still ranked so highly, and often above the Falcons in 'Expert' rankings.

Bottom line is the Saints are a bigger threat for the division than the Buccs, who are also riding an easy schedule. I hate the saints. The only way I'd ever want them to win is if their winning would propel us into playoffs or deeper.

Since there are no direct playoff implications yet, I'd prefer a Buccin' azz whoopin of the Taints.

I hate them both, Saints more so, but Saints winning gives us breathing room.

But I don't think the Bucs are as good as they've looked and could fall off at any time, where as the Saints could turn it on at any time and get healthy.

Like others have said, it's statistically better for us if the Saints win, but the heck with that noise...I hope the Bucs crush them.

Honestly, my dream scenario for this season (besides Atlanta winning the Super Bowl) would be for the Falcons to secure the first seed and the Saints to go 9-7 but miss the playoffs like we did last season while an 8-8 Rams or Cards team gets to go in because they won the West. The tears would be so, so epic from the Saints "fans".

Doesn't matter. The main thing is for Falcons to win. Nearly all the main threats to a #1 seed we play head to head (except for Bears). Let them worry about keeping up with us. This team can take either of them. Our guys can worry about home field advantage; let them worry about wildcard.

ive always tended to hate the bucs and panthers more than the saints. But i would rather see the bucs do well. I don't mind Raheem Morris. And i'm so sick of hearing about the saints.
