Izo#2883
Will it dissapoint you should we not win it this season?Personally I think you create a good foundation through the draft, but to only give it 3 years to define failure or succes is a bit premature imo.Im gonna be fan regardless of a Lombardi or not, but I hope TD havent put too much strain on himself by saying its a 3 year plan. BankerBird™
Personally, I deem it more important that the Falcons get to the Super Bowl first, then we can worry about the importance of them winning it.
freebird310
Thing is we got a window here ...if you look at the rest of the schedule, our bye coming up at the perfect time, our relative good health to this point, a down year for most of the NFC, it just seems the stars and planets are lining up for us to make a run .......to me it is very important, but not the be all end all ...bottom line, our franchise is now headed in the right direction, and we will suffer no more at the bottom of the abyss ......Birds in the Bowl 2010 !!!!! Hammafan58
Almost as important as being rescued from a mine shaft after 70 days.

ltstorm2
TD and Smith meant to be perennial playoff contenders. Their goal is first to win the division and if not atleat be good enough to get in the playoffs. That is the 3 year plan.
Spoooooooon4MVP
being that there will be a lock out in 2011 cataclysmic events in 2012 a stock market crash in 2013 and basically the end of civilization as we know it 2015 i'd say it's very ******* important. Bingo! Look at the Eagles for example. They had a Super Bowl caliber team and made a run for it for several years..but came up short. That window has closed and no telling when it will open up for them again. Our window is just starting to open....but can close real fast. We need to take advantage of it, while we can. FlyHighFalcons
Personally, I deem it more important that the Falcons get to the Super Bowl first, then we can worry about the importance of them winning it.I'm sorry, but I cannot stand this idea at all. It's hard enough to have a winning record, let alone to get to the playoffs, let alone to make the superbowl, let alone to win it. If you make it to the superbowl, you have to win it now. You may never have that same opportunity.

Peyton
I really didn't think this team had any chance for the Super Bowl when the season started but I'm feeling differently now. Not because the Falcons are different than I expected....well....maybe.....the defensive line is playing considerably better than I expected. The biggest reason I think the Falcons have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl is there is no great teams in the NFC, and the Falcons have already established an inside track to home field advantage in the playoffs.So...if they do make it to the Super Bowl and even win it, it's going to be a big bonus for me. I thought they were a wild card team at best this year.
