Atlfanstckndenver
Is Drew hurt?I saw this comment on NOLA.com....anyone know of this?http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf...leased_jo.htmlDARKTHRONE October 12, 2010 at 6:03PMFollowI just got an e-mail from a friend who said Drew's throwing shoulder is injured, and the Saints brass is keeping it low, low, low...Apparently, it happened in the Falcons game after a sack- "Brees got up and undid his chin strap w/his left hand, while his right arm hung limp, proving it was hurting him as he came off the field."Well, take that for what it's worth, but it would make sense= all the underneath throws, underthrows, etc...****, even the TD pass to Meach last game was underthrown... nice adjustment by #17.This might also explain that odd, tripped-out look on Drew's face... it's in his eyes.Coach P's expressions could be mirroring this "injury" as well.I realize this might be simply wrong and fabricated from a fan base that is prob just freaking out right now, but i cant help but be intruged by this. Ive been watching the Saints games since our victory over them and can not help but think something IS wrong with Brees. Now this doesnt mean that he wont heal and be back to normal before we even know whats going on to begin with. I still cant help while watching Drew that at least something is affecting his mechanics with his throwing. Ive seen what this poster is talking about with the underthrown balls. At first i thought it was just the knee he dinged up against us,but i have to say, hearing about him having a shoulder injury really does seem to comply with what ive seen with Brees throwing the ball recently. Karst41
This is what happpened. He was busy bagging his fans heads, and tore his rotator cuff.
Finally
If he was really hurt they would have to report it or risk being fined.
BruceReville
If it is true the Falcons definately need to make a "NO MADDEN COVER" policy and enforce it immediately!

DavyDmx
I could care less about them until we play them again Dec 27 (If true then it's a huge blow to their offense).
raysnill1
he hasn't been playing the same since they played us. i caught the end of that Cardinal game and he was floating & missing what what would be easy throws to him. I think he was wearing a knee brace against the Panthers too. I think he is pretty banged up

A b
His under-throws stems from his incompetence, and injuries have nothing to do with it... What!! so he's so good no one can believe he throws interceptions!! HE'S OVERRATED..... He wouldn't have this much glow had the old man scrambled for a few yards and lat has kicker kick brees and his team away from the NFC championship.. I sure don't. Who is making the excuses, the fans, media? Doesn't matter. A win is a win, and if we hold up the lombardi this year and people downplay it because the Brees wasn't a full strenght...I will laugh in their face. They can put in their 3 stringer for all I care. metatron360
funny i thought the same thing last year when mm stoped throwing deep w ryan. ribs or shoulder or even the turf toe but with breeze if it is his shoulder that had surgery he and the saints are in huge trouble. personally i think breeze is over confident. he is blaintatly throwing pics just like the shuffle to decoud. he has heard he is the best so long he beleives he is 99 overall. As far as I'm concerned the Saints only won the Super Bowl last year because Ryan & Turner weren't at full strength. That **** goes both ways ..... slamee101
Bruised ego I'm sure.Jokes aside, I'm sure he's a little dinged up but I don't wanna hear it. Sounds like excuses. Nobody was giving us any benefit of the doubt when Ryan was dinged up last year.
aerosmith67
If he was really hurt they would have to report it or risk being fined. You're talking about a team that was passing around prescription drugs like they were Chicklets. mindgame
If Drew is indeed hurt and it isn't going to heal any time soon then the division is being handed to us without any competition. But the media will report it as "Only because the Saints were hurt". Edited October 13, 2010 by mindgame
ChrisfromLouisiana
Brees does seem to be throwing more underneath/short pass routes this year...he hasn't gone deep consistently the way he was doing for much of last season...he may very well be dinged up and not feeling 100%, but then, who does after getting banged around on a football field by 300+ pound guys...in any case, if the Saints struggles continue, the struggles won't be justified by pointing to any possible injury Brees may or may not have...Saints have other problems right now that have no connection with Brees... HASHBROWN3
I wish I had a dam dollar for every time brees chunks the ball up to colston or henderson or whomever in hopes that they make a play. Sad thing is that last year noone would ever turn around. notice that this year he ain't gettin' the cheap ones anymore. I don't care about the injury excuses by NO fans... I say everone in the league needs to tee off on this guy w/out his bailout buddy bushleague in the lineup.
sdogg
The Football gods are angry at the Saints for milking and exploiting Katrina for 5 years. SO now the FG gods have unleashed the Madden Curse.
Robb4242
I think Trent Dilpher got his head too far up Drew's arse and Drew hurt his shoulder trying to get that big bald head out of there.
