Testasparo
I'm tired of pounding my keyboard in rage while watching the mind numbingly ******** playcalling by Steve Addazio, and by extension Urban Meyer since he wont do anything about it, but all I will say is they better figure out REAL quick how to fix this, because guys are gonna start opening their commitments back up real fast. The reports of Mike Bellamy and A.C. Leonard leaving the game because they couldn't stand watching it anymore are embarrassing. If we lose Driskel or Pittman over this this fanbase will erupt. Figure it out quick.

Mr Pickle1
Man, if I had a coach who'd won 2 national championships, I'd probably chill out and realize he's smarter than me. If you're having trouble, look at the players. It's the same guy in charge. Tim Tebow/Percy Harvin/Charlie Strong- On THAT FOUNDATION was a dynasty built. You need to be figuring out a way to get guys that good back on campus again.

If recruits themselves start coming out saying how bad the playcalling sucks, then Meyer will eventually have no choice but to fire him. We need all the people we can get to jump on this thing and quick before it starts affecting recruiting. Chili Dog
I think a big piece of the puzzle a lot of people aren't mentioning is Mullens. I think he was a big part of the offensive success...Huge understatement. The drop off from 08 to 09 was eye opening, and from last season to this one has now just become amusement. It will continue to drop with him because they've already stated there will be no changes. Dive play, ALL DAY baby

Dive play, ALL DAY babyWith us being 4-2 and more than likely another 2, possibly 3 losses headed our way, I'm just looking to be entertained at this point. I want us to line Pouncey up at QB in shotgun on the goal line, you know, since we are incapable of going into an I formation for some reason unbeknownst to anyone breathing oxygen. I want us to set the record for most players lined up at QB in one season. We should start the game against MSU with Debose at QB, then the next play bring in Will Hill, and then after that we should go with someone completely random like Earl Okine. It'll be much needed hilarity at this point.

It will continue to drop with him because they've already stated there will be no changes. Dive play, ALL DAY babyI respect your take on it, but to me, it really does come down to the players.08-09 is about the dropoff I would except after losing one of the 2-3 best playmakers in CFB- Percy Harvin. This year's dropoff is about what you'd expect after losing one of the best players in the history of CFB and have a new starting qb who really doesn't look that great. If Tebow and Harvin were still there, I think you'd have people saying what a genius Addazio is. Perhaps his playcalling is constrained by the limitations you have at the skill positions? Bobo basically called the same plays last week as he did the entire previous year...the difference: A.J. Green is back being a dominant player, sucking safeties out of the box and away from the middle of the field, and Arron Murray is being both more accurate and going through his reads faster...and we pass protected better.Players make plays. Players make plays possible. I think it's a very rare playcaller who is so bad that he's the real cause of a team's problem. When you've got a NC winning and extremely competent guy in Meyer okaying what Addazzio is doing, it makes me think the players just aren't capable of much more. Now, the issue there is one of coaching: recruiting and talent development. Either they missed on guys or they didn't develop them like they should. And THAT KIND of BAD COACHING is far more common than putrid playcallers. Xnex
I wonder if many of the UF fans recognize how much all the booing at the game impacts the opinion of the recruits? This is becoming a really volatile situation; one which Meyer has to make a real effort to fix, and fix quickly. That is, if Urban even plans on staying around after this season. Something very positive needs to happen quickly for the Gators, or else they may really start to falter.

After Spurrier and Tebow dynasties, it will take at least a decade of mediocrity for that to happen.

Mr Pickle1
some say give urban the ultimatum of either urban steps up and fires addazio or foley will. And then another year goes by, UF continues to struggle because Harvin and Tebow are gone, and UF fans start to come to terms with the idea that they probably aren't going on a run like that anytime soon again? Xnex
Sorry UF fans, you guys are really kind of coming off as spoiled kids with this one. And those statements that you read on every message board (even the Gamecock message boards... why, I have NO IDEA) that goes something like "I'm not going to settle for mediocrity, cause if I do, then the team is more likely to remain mediocre because they aren't feeling the heat from us fans", just do not reflect reality. You just lost the very best college football player I have ever seen in my life and I've seen tons of great ones in my 40+ years. Why can't you just give it at least 1 season before you begin to crumble and turn on your team and your coaching staff that brought you 2 National Championships. In addition to losing Tebow you've lost Mullen, and Strong as well. Your ship has been raided and while your cupboards are not bare, they are filled with youngsters who "have to learn" what it means to compete in the SEC week in and week out.
