rcky_mtn_falcon
This guy has always been an a-hole and a quitter, and I thank God we'll never have to see his circus in Atlanta. I'm sure Blank is counting his lucky stars that Parcell's bolted for Miami. I know he has a history of building a winner, but he also has a history of being a quitter, and I can't stand quitters. Parcells departure from Dolphins could be imminentPosted by Mike Florio on October 10, 2010 5:35 PM ETWhen former Dolphins V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells stepped out of his job and into a consulting role before the regular season started, the next question became when, not if, Parcells will leave the team completely. You could have asked the same question the day he was hired.Though Parcells remains unpredictable and could change his mind at any time (and then change it back again), signs currently are pointing to an imminent departure.Parcells has the ability to leave the team at any time, and to collect the balance of a contract that runs through 2011. He also has the ability to work for another team while still getting paid by the Dolphins. He joined the Dolphins after a horrendous 1-15 season in 2007, with a clause in his contract that gave him the ability to leave the team and collect the balance of his pay if then-owner Wayne Huizenga sold his controlling interest in the team. When Huizenga sold to Stephen Ross, Parcells renegotiated the deal to allow him to leave at any time and to cash out the balance of the contract. E TN Falcon Fan
Wonder what Mike Lombadi thinks? The big name is not always the best name. The best outcome is usually to hire hire the talented young no-name and let him make his reputation for you instead of overpaying a past his prime guy, paying him for what he did with the Giants 20 years ago. HAHAHAHA
FFFALCON
If you don't think he's a man of character, just ask him. What's the old saying....Your actions speak so loud I can't hear what you're saying.

Finally
Dodged a bullet there and with Singletary who is getting crazier by the moment. When I look around the league and teams that are afraid to commit to a qb, like the browns we just played. I realize that one of the first moves TD did was a potential career ending move. He could have played it safe and went for defense but he came out of gate, grabbed Ryan, and announced he was our guy. That took a lot of guts for someone who has never been a GM. If he had been wrong I doubt Blank was going to patient for long.

One of the coaches said it anyway, after a meeting with Ryan prior to the draft. I love that statement.
