Important factors for tomorrows game

The coin toss will be more important than you think! It is important for us to start with the ball and get an early lead. If the Browns are trailing from the start, their only weapon Peyton Hillis will be taken right out of them game, and force them to make Delhomme beat us, and come on son. Delhomme won't beat us through the air.

Screen passes is something we should use very much tomorrow! The Browns defense will be coming at us hard blitzing a lot. If we can make successfully perform one screen of a blitz it could 30+ yards.

Just a few key factors that could be really important!

I don't think Delhomme will beat us, but he's historically had very good games against us. So I won't say he can't do that again.

That said he doesn't have S. Smith and M. Muhammed to torch us with.

He's also in for a rude awakening when he sees how much faster we are on D and the improvemnts to our secondary.

I hope we open the game with a play action bomb. Strike some fear in that secondary early and you know they know we are going to give em a heavy dose the Burner and the Churner. If MM opens the playbook a little more i think the moths will come out but we will win.

Cannot not disagree more on (a).

Would love for them to get the ball first.

No way a runner like Hillis will get anything going against our jacked D without some creative playcalling ... Much more concerned with the jukers.

And we have struggled to score TDs on first possessions in a game ... or overtime.

Much rather get the three and out and the ball at the beginning of the last half.

Then what if Hillis comes out running us over, and eating up the clock?

It is important for us to take him out of the game with an early lead

Scoring a touchdown first won't change their game plan. Once we get up by two touchdowns, maybe. But assuming getting the ball first and scoring will take their RB out of the picture is just plain dumb. Real dumb.

I'm pretty confident our defense will shut their offense down.

I'd rather Cleveland get the ball first so we can force a 3 & out and get the ball with good field position. Then, we can march down the field, gain a lead, and never look back.

Hopefully we're leading by 10+ at half so we can then go up by 3 scores with our first possession of the 2nd half.

That'd put their offense on its heels and force Delhomme to throw...to throw a few picks that is.

Sounds ideal to me!

No it won't but hopefully it will make them feel sence of urgency and eventually force them to call a few risky plays. They know if they get behind early with 2 scores the game is lost. Their only chance to beat us is Peyton Hillis. Even if he gets going I belive we will beat them but I would love to see a blow out

I agree with Magnus. Give us the ball to start the second half. We have to deal with Hillis sooner or later. May as well take him on at the beginning and set the tone.

The screen seems to be a mystery to our coaches on both side of the ball. Can't run it, can't defend it. Wonder why?
