Caddieman
The Falcons are just not a "Sexy" pic. Ryan will never throw for Brees like #'s(due to a balanced O) Turner will not have Peterson type runs(he is 5 yards and a cloud of dust) Our O line is a bunch of no name lunch pail type guys(would not trade them for the world) Roddy white is not going to have 100 yard games week after week(we don't go down the field much) And our D is made up of 75% 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year players, who are just now starting to come around.(who outside of Brees in the NFL knows who Grimes is) And thats just the way I like it. When we beat Baltimore is when the media will start to say............hummmmmm!

FalconPio
I love my team! We are a FAMILY!!! Regular guys going under the radar sneaking and being the underdog to snatch the rings!!
Zanka
Its fun to be the underdog to everybody else, well knowing that youre team can beat anyone in this league!
NewFalcon
My grandfather used to tell me, "You don't want everybody liking you. If everybody likes you then you probably aren't standing for anything."Your grandfather was a wise man...it's always better to be respected than liked. It's the best of all to be liked AND respected. In terms of the Falcons and their chances of becoming 'media darlings', I'll offer this opinion: when you win the Super Bowl the media will both love and respect you. Guess I really don't care about our team being media darlings, but it's clear to me that the Falcons have been earning respect.
Goal Line D
"Media darlings" or not people better start getting Sean Weatherspoon's name correct or else I'm gonna blow a gasket! Edited October 9, 2010 by Goal Line D
RYNE
Gotta either be the cowboys or win a superbowl to get publicity in the nfl

isproab
That's OK. I would rather nobody outside of Georgia pull for us and we shock the world and win it all. Especially against a team like Pittsburgh whom everybody would pick. None of these prognosticator really have any credibility. They have been picking Dallas for the last 10 years and they finally just make it back to the playoffs last year?? They really don't know much. You need to pick based on performance, not past history or how big of a fan base a team has.

phattywankenobi
The problem with the "media" is they cover multiple teams and multiple sports and don't know the Falcons so why do I care what the regurgitate?
joenate
To be honest, this is why I hate teams like the Colts and Giants. I hate the 'media darling' label. I hope the Falcons NEVER become media darlings even if they win the next 4 out of 8 SB titles.
