If you don't like Sterling Sharpe then don't watch AFC Playbook

Recommended Posts

Just a head up. He was the only one to pick the Browns to beat the Falcons. He called the Falcons extremely lucky the last 2 weeks. Also said they don't run the ball very well vs 3-4 defense.

I like Sterling Sharpe and his analysis of the NFL.

Sounds like he actually has followed us.

we played enough to win, but we were lucky to have a kicker miss a chipshot FG and a INT get funbled by the DB.

9.5/10 times NEITHER of those things happen..

Well, we don't run it very well against 3-4's.

Considering who we've played I think you're right to some degree. But is this a Raven/Steeler/Jets/49ers 3-4?

H.ELL no!

We can dominate 3-4's see Cards game right?

It's all about personal I'm not sure what the Browns have but....thats why they play the game right?

Playing against a 3-4 defense is not the concern, my concern is as follows.

What the Browns have is the Best 3-4 NT in the business.

He goes by the name of Shaun Rogers.

Dude is 6'4 and 350lbs of pure baddazz.

He wears #92 and will be the guy that requires a double team on every down.

This will allow the Browns to stack the box, and get hits and sacks on Ryan.

The only way to defeat this is to deploy the 5 -8 routes.

If we do not do this, their safeties are going to blitz all day long,

and we come home with a L and a big black eye.

You are either listening to me or wanting to throw a brick at me.

Either way I could care less, but Know This.

Our Offensive game plan is going to revolve around Rogers, and no amount of bricks

that you throw at me is going to change that.

Win or Lose, the only thing that matters in this game is going to be

Matt Ryans health.

If you dont believe me, ask Ben Worthlessburger.

Wow! I'm surprised Sterling Sharpe isn't getting bashed on these boards for what he said about the Falcons. Usually when someone in the media says something other than the Falcons are the best team in the NFL, posters on these boards go crazy.

For me at least Sharpe isn't a total azz clown like Jamie Dukes or Trent Dilfer.

Sterling at least backs up most of his takes with reasons.

Dukes and Dilfer are just unfunny comedians.

I like Sterling too but sometimes he's way off. like he just showed how the Pats offense was gonna roll without Randy & every play he showed of a receiver getting a catch, if you really look Randy had taken 2 or 3 players out the play leaving that receiver open lol

I thought the cardinals were a 3-4 team. I also thinking that running 200 yards against the Saints is an achievement also. There will be tough defenses like the 49ers and Steelers that will key in on the run. I think if the offense is clicking, the running game naturally works.

I could care less what those so called expert say about My Birds. I love being the underdog, because you don't have a target on your chest. I will also take this time to quote Corso about luck.

"It's when hard work meets opportunity".

We may have won some nail biters, but we played well enough to win. You will do one or the other. Put yourself in a position to win, or a position to lose.

Consider this from last Sunday: While the blocked punt, which resulted in a SF touchdown was not 'luck' (it was a heads up, athletic play), it was points surrendered by ST, not the Defense. The Defense allowed only 7 points. They'll have to keep Hillis and Cribbs in check on Sunday.

Last week, the issue was that the offense that couldn't score points. Too many missed passes, and the 2 INT's.

Maybe it was hangover from the NO game, but regardless, if the offense gets back on track, this should be a win for ATL. They'll have to contend with the 3-4 defense, but they're gonna need to get in a rhythm. And, I look for Ryan to be able to exploit Eric Wright to some degree.
