We have a single winner for the Browns cartoon contest and I'm working on that one now. I'll post it before 1:00 pm Friday.:)

Ok, folks, the Eagles. I started not to have a weekly contest for the Philly game and just do my own thing because of the never ending and ongoing controversy surrounding a certain former Falcon that now plays for the Eagles. However, it looks now that Vick is highly doubtful for the Philly game due to injury and likely as not won't play. In either case, I cannot and will not consider any ideas concerning MV that are derogatory and/or inflammatory. If you MUST incorporate MV into your idea, keep it clean and clever if you want serious consideration, thank you. Likely as not, though, if I do select a winner, the winning idea will cover more general grounds and leave out MV completely.

Here's what I did last season:

I really dislike can't stand abhor hate the Eagles! They usually pluck our tail feathers and it's no secret that some of their fans are amongst the most ill-mannered in the NFL.

Post your ideas in this thread, as many as you want. (Please DO NOT PM me with your ideas. Post 'em in here for all to see.) Try to keep 'em on the simple side. A Steven Spielberg production may be fun to read but not practical to illustrate. Falco and/or his Hick'ry Stick don't necessarily have to be in the mix for my consideration but it's always a good slant. If you want to post a sketch or pics from the web to help get your idea across, that's fine too.

If I select your idea to illustrate, your screen name will be on the posted cartoon along with mine and in addition I will send you a 13" x 19" high resolution poster print on thick semi-gloss photo paper suitable for framing and signed by yours truly.

There is no guarantee that I will select anyone's idea. I also reserve the right to tweak an idea to make it work and if I do that you will still be given full credit. What I'm looking for as much as anything are general suggestions. You don't have to cross every "t" and dot every "i". ;)

Deadline for entries is 10pm Friday at which time I will lock this thread. I will not be replying in this thread except for an occasional "bump" or to answer any questions, but it's all pretty simple.

ps - There will be no contest for the following weeks Bengals game. I completed a 'toon for that game weeks ago and have what I hope will be a real classic for y'all!

Sceen 2:

4th and 13, Reid with head set on, and a Drumstick

in his mouth

Sceen 3:

Eagles huddle,

QB say' Muffed ball,, team looking bewildered.

QB states, I am not going to argue with Reid.

since you made the Hickry Stick award, Falcos Hickry Stick needs an upgrade.

Have Falco outside with a knife carving the new Hickry Stick. ( burn marks and all ) with a branding iron over a fire with the words Hickry Stick glowing red. in the background the old Hickry Stick broken over a Cleveland Browns helmet. as Falco is carving the new Hickry Stick have his thought bubble be last year saints game cartoon, ( which was Falco on his knees praying, but looked like he had been beat down from the previous games that was against the Eagles)

How about the Rocky statue in Philly bent over after being smacked in the stomach by Falco's Hickry stick, with a caption saying "there's a new heavyweight in town", or "Gonna Fly Now"; or

Falco pounding a slab of meat (with his hick'ry stick) like the famous scene from rocky, but the Slab of meat of covered with a Philly Jersey, or falco has a thought bubble filled with an eagles player.

I can see Reid Drooling like Pavlov's Dog,,,,,

and Vick on the sidelines with a wad of cash to lay down a bet....

Can we add in where the dad eagle is staring at the momma eagle. dad is the confused one, mamma eagle looks guilty, with falco in the background like the OP came up with.

A nasty fat little hobbit looking eagle is sitting back nawing the last bit of meat off of a bone. Beside him sits a pile of bones all having different years on them. The pile is spliing out of a box that says "Falcon Meat". Upon 2nd glance you realize that the Nasty little Eagle is the size of a mouse. You also see that he's sitting on a diner plate. To the left and right of him are Giant (person size) talons, one holding a fork, the other holding a knife. In the background you see Falco's Eyes and face starting to come out of the darkness for dinner. Oh and the fork and knife say present and future.

This is the best picture I could find that gives the basic idea.

Kolb standing beside a bench on the field talking to an injured rib bandaged vick whose sitting on the bench. Vick has a Falcon tatoo on his arm and Kolb has a wet spot on his crotch and legs. Kolb is pleading with Vick to play saying 'Common man, Pleeeessse, they know you, they won't hurt you'. In the back ground is a red eyed rabid looking Falco frothing at the mouth.

I was just trying to keep it real simple and away from Vick but since you brought it up. :D I could see Falco towering over Vick all bowed up saying "You like to fight animals, huh?" with the Hick'ry Stick cocked back. It's all in the past and PETA would try steal that to put on bumper stickers. I just can't believe there's not another prominent person to poke fun at than Vick or Reid.
