Expect a tough close game with Cleveland

Gang, this game with Cleveland is not going to be a cakewalk for the Falcons. With our special teams problems lately, Josh Cribbs scares me - he is dangerous.

The run defense has to stop Peyton Hillis and get off the field. If the Browns control the clock and convert on 3rd downs like the 49er's did, it could be a long day. Turner and Snelling have to have good days, and our OL needs to be dominant.

Great teams beat the teams they are supposed to beat, especially on the road. If the Falcons are going to be a great team this year, we have to win these games.

Thank you for not using the Favorite Cliche of 2010 - "Trap Game". Plain and simple, upsets happen. I don't know the line on this game, and really don't care because I don't bet, but I am guessing a lot of people expect the Falcons to win. I think they can, but that's why they go ahead and actually get out on the field on Sunday.

Cincy was probably favored last week. Stuff happens.

We gotta win in the trenches.

Road games like this are decided by the big guys up front.

If it were just down to weapons on the team, well....we got 'em beat, hands down. But Matts got to have time to work the offense, and our offensive line has got to give him the time to be able to use those weapons. It'll be tough, especially in thier back yard.

On defense it all starts up front, as well. Stop the run first.

And then keep pressure on a hobbled DelHomme? Yes please!

Aside from the last drive of the game, 9ers converted 3 of 8 3rd downs and 2 were by penalty- they were 4 of 12 on 3rd down w/o help- I'd be OK with that.

Looking forward to this game- If Ryan is on his game, they should take this, but we'll see.

Nothing against Hillis ... but I really think we have more problems against the shifty runners as opposed to the downhill ones.

We are a fast, agressive defense and we sometimes over commit and miss tackles.

If we can get a bead on a guy ... even a powerful RB like Hillis ... I think we stuff him.

So it is a "Trap Game"...for Cleveland. Remember we are one of the leagues most overrated teams(LMAO) and the Browns will still be high off their upset 1st victory and overlook us. So Mr. Dilfer and others who view us as "lucky" should have the Browns on upset alert. :P

as great as our games have been; i would really like a blowout this weekend. I dont know I can take a season of these nail biters!

Yeah, I think the team needs one too. If we can get a few turnovers early, I think we can blow this team out. We need to emphasize that on defense. Go for the ball. As for offense, we need to throw early to get a lead, and run late to eat clock. I don't think we want to get into another plodding, close to the vest game with Cleveland. We want to do what we CAN do, that they CAN'T. Put up big points.

You know a couple of yrs ago, I was thinking Hillis who? This is the same RB who played for the Broncos when they were near the bottom of the league in rushing and we know how that ended. Don't overlook the the Browns.

This team could easily be 4-0, and some folks might argue they should. Playing in Cleveland won't be easy by any stretch. I just hope we can stop Hillis (something the last 2 teams they've played haven't done...but I feel good about our run D overall), force whoever is at QB into some mistakes and grind out another win.

Comes with the territory. The Falcons have been underdogs for years. When they would get up for a game and win, it was an 'upset'. Now, they are slowly gaining respect, and thus are expected to win. That results in more pressure, and any game against a sub par team becomes a 'trap game'. All in all, I'm good. For too many years, the Falcons WERE this year's Browns.......................B)

I am going to expect a blowout and none of you can stop me.

I'm going to tend to agree with you, and here's why:

I think the falcons will take more from winning last weeks nail-biter than they would had they blown out the 49ers. I expect they will learn from the mistakes they made, and we will see a motivated, well-coached team on the field. This will be the best offensive performance year-to-date for our falcons.

Falcons route- 42-17
