On a noise scale of 1 - 20, how loud do the Ga Dome gets?

I was at the Superdome last week, you know, it really doesn't live up to it's reputation. I was having conversations and could hear fine when our offense was on the field. I know because the other Falcons fans and I were complaining about running it up the middle on every first down.

Personally I think the GA dome is louder.

Well, in your opinion, how loud does the Ga. Dome gets?

It depends on the game.

On average during a Falcons game probably a 15. But there are exceptions... like after Lofton had the sack the next play the Dome was LOUD because everyone was jacked.

I know some people that work the sidelines during the game and it's much louder on the field than it sounds in the stands.

But it all depends on the game and the crowd.

I've been a Falcons season ticket holder since 2004 and have been to every Monday Night game and the last playoff game we hosted against the Rams in 04. I've also been to a couple SEC Championship games and to a couple Chick Fil A Bowls (Peach Bowl) in the Dome.

Without a doubt, college games are much more louder. On a scale of 1-20, I would give college games about an 18 or 19. I would give Falcons games about a 10 or 11.

Well, I think i'm going to make some of you mad, but I think it's weak...I would say a 8 is fair...Maybe that's because I have Tennessee Vols season tickets and i've been to the Swamp, Bryant-Denny and other college stadiums...I went to the Dolphins game last year and the Cardinals game this year and I was shocked at how empty it was for home openers...On a bad day we have 95k at Neyland, most of the time we are 100K+.

I went to the Redskins game last year and I'd say that was about a 7.

I remember going to the Rams / Falcons playoff game in 04, and that was about a 17.

The loudest game I ever went to was in FCS, home opener in 1990. First game "Back in Black" and Glanville's first game, against the Oilers who had just fired him. That day it would have been a 20.

Sometimes, whether people are going to get mad at you or not, you just have to tell the truth. And that is what you just did.

I've never been to a bowl game but I can assure you it couldn't get much louder than some of the Falcons playoff games or certain MNF games.

I've been to a couple of Monday Night games and the Virginia Tech/Alabama kickoff game blew that out of the water. The MNF and Sunday night crowds are much better than the 1:00 crowds, but it doesn't touch the college games in there where no one ever sits down or stops yelling

I never sit down at Neyland, I scream as loud as I can...I tried that in the Dome this year and I felt like I was looked at by everybody in my section like I was crazy...I have seen Tennessee play for SEC Championships in the Dome and it was off the charts, the Dome held the noise in great, College fans + Dome= deaf for a few days lol.

I realize this is all a matter of opinion and I've been to quite a few college games and agree as a whole the fan base is better in sustaining noise but if you were at the Eagles MNF game a few years back or when the 49'ers were here during the playoffs in '98 you would know they would be hard to top.

Then again it's all opinion because in my observation over the years one person will say the place is quiet and someone else will says it's loud.
