They didn't know the snap count, they guessed it the entire first quarter and were offsides on nearly every play cause they got it wrong. Refs just refused to call it.

I was at the game so I haven't seen any film, but Ryan was hit a lot and often. We have to get Baker some help from a TE or we may need a new QB before this season is over. Turner continues to be very slow in hitting his holes unlike Snelling. The play at the end of that game made by Harvey was a game changer. How many OG will run 60 yards on an interception to make a play at the 8 yard line?

I sure hope Smitty & TD have some plans/ideas to correct these problems!!!!

GO FALCONS!!!!

Nice write up. You covered most everything.

I will agree with others that SF was offsides a lot and they didn't call many of them, which is ridiculous. I think they did call 2 or 3 of them though.

Did you notice Koenen on that last kickoff getting all physical? That was awesome. I figured you might mention it if you saw it.

I saw Turner get destroyed and pushed back into Ryan and that didn't look too good. Ryan could have gotten away from that, but the other guy on that play came in unblocked so he didn't have a chance. I also noticed at the end of 2 or 3 of Turner's runs he didn't lower his head and he got hit pretty hard in the chest. He needs to lower his head and run those guys over instead of getting hit like that. Anybody else notice that. I'm not trying to bash Turner, but I don't understand what he was doing there.

Good recap.

I'd disagree on the Spikes tip for INT. It was another poor pass by Ryan to a well-covered Gonzalez. The Vilma tip was just an awesome play to prevent an easy catch. Very different to me.

Otherwise, job well done. Thanks for the read!

Good breakdown FFS1970

That PI call on Dunta was ridiculous.... Some say he didnt look back but he did... Even the announcers said that call was ticky tack.

2 smart things the 49ers did.

1. They put there #1 CB Nate Clements on Gonzo.... Then they just double teamed Roddy.

2. It seem like they went by the same type attack that the Patriots ran on us in the preseason...

Another thing to go with the bad... We kept trying to run pitch plays.... I get Jamaal Charles killed the 49ers the week before running on the outside but we dont have that type of back (why we miss Norwood)
