atljbo
Report: Redskins shopping WR Devin ThomasSince training camp, it has been apparent that Coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan do not believe wide receiver Devin Thomas is a good fit for their long-term plans.Citing a source, the National Football Post is reporting that the Redskins are shopping Thomas in advance of the October trading deadline. During the offseason, teams did inquire about Thomas's availability, according to two people familiar the situation.Thomas has been effective on kickoff returns and he has handled his difficult situation professionally. The third-year player might benefit from a change in scenery. It seems Mike Shanahan is trying to make that happen. A great returner with a HUGE upside as a WR. Dem Birds
I'll say what I said on the other board, we need a number 2 receiver, not another 3 or 4. Not worth it for this team.

PutMeInCoach
our number 2 receiver will be Roddy White when we draft AJ Green... "fingers crossed". I hope he falls to 32 or we make a move up the boards.

Any upside he'd give us would probably be minimal.Same, I live in No.Va. so im pretty familiar with Thomas. We dont need him. Weems is a better returner than Thomas, so where is the upside to getting him. I wouldn't consider Thomas' upside as HUGE anymore, maybe before his rookie year he had upside, but that has all but faded. I wouldnt call him a bust, because the Skins reached for him anyway, but some would say he is a bust.
1989Fan
i really liked him @ MSU, but he is obviously a bust.WAS is far from stacked at the position.Guess the talking heads were right when they said he wasnt ready and left college prematurely. muskokas finest ©
Liked Thomas in college. Since the Broncos gave up a 4th rounder for the Patriots garbage, everyone else thinks they can do the same.
paulitik
Yeah, I'm a DC guy too. He's got potential, and it would be nice to have another returner, but I'm not sure I'd give up a pick for him.

I mean, he's being outplayed by Joey Galloway and Anthony Armstrong, so how good can he really be?
