Did my eyes decieve me...

...did I notice at least two separate occasions the refs missed calling two offsides penalties on the 49ers defense in the first half?

I was thinking "please God, don't let this be the Cards game all over again..."

The Refs clearly missed two blatant off sides. No, your eyes are not deceiving you.

49ers were all over the snap count yesterday. i couldn't tell if they were off sides many of the times, but the jump on the snap and pressure up the middle cause matt ryan the most trouble. to me it appears everyone puts blame on mularkey and ryan for poor performances and not throwing deep routes, but the qb needs protection for long pass routes to develop. matt ryan did not get that yesterday.

Yes you are right. I was 100% sure it was an offside. Atlanta players were all up in the arm. It was very surprising that they did not call. There were actually several calls like that. Anyway, what counts is that we got the W

I agree about the W, but to hear the crowd "oooh" and "ahhh" in disgust because they saw it not being called, was pretty telling.

with all due respect the crowd cries for all home team calls. this may be a legitimate observation but nothing annoys me more than people screaming at balls and strikes at a braves game. can you really tell what was a strike from your seat???

No they did not deceive you, I noticed it as well. But I usually don't worry about them as much unless we lose. Had we lost, I would be livid and calling out the refs!

Even during a loss, I rarely call out the refs unless they miss obvious calls. Being that we won is no different. As many dudes as they have on the field pre-snap, they shouldn't miss something as obvious as an offsides.

I can't speak for the home crowd, but if I could notice it from the comfort of my seat at the sports bar, I'm pretty sure they have a better vantage point than me. :D

actually no. your vantage point on t.v. is better than at the game except for the few percentage of folks with the best views. i sat in the mezzanine section and couldn't tell if they were offsides or timing the snap count perfectly. they got called on it a few times and the close calls the fans yelled for the calls. but, no t.v. is a much better vantage point to see that type of stuff. going to the game is more for the experience than to critique and break down a game in my opinion.

I believe teams are looking at our game films and really studying it hard. There were some offsides but there were also some good jumps at the line by there D. This is not the first team that has done it this year.

I hope our coaches realize this and switch up the snap count a little bit. JMO

They missed a couple offsides and I know I saw a hold of JA55 the crowd shouted when it happened, I can't remember what quarter it was though.

Yes ... saw those ... and a third later in the game where it appeared we finally complained to refs.

JA55 was assualted on one play where he was tackled from behind ... I assume that is the one you are referring to. I believe it was the third quarter or early fourth.

For some reason teams always seem to time our snap to perfection and we fail to adjust. Ryan was able to get them offside a few times but that's somethign they gotta work on.

Officiating in ALL pro sports is at such an all time low I'm surprised the federal government doesn't call for congressional hearings on it. LOL

Referees and umpires today aren't satisfied just officiating a game, their egos now demand that THEY be part of the OUTCOME of the game.

Anyone else see the horse collar on Ryan they missed ? ......

yeah i saw that one too. i also thought the first INT was illegal contact, looked to me like spikes pushed gonzo, maybe we were so close in they were still within the 5 yard zone? but that horse collar should have been called
