FalconFanSince1970
Let me first confess that I was in the cut Bryant camp. I was wrong. Many were wrong.Roddy could very well win it and Lofton deserves some consideration but Bryant? Wow:-kicked a walk off FG in two straight weeks (NO and SF)-kicked three FGs in the opener against PIT-8 of 9 on FGs and 10 of 10 on XPs-leading all Falcon players with 34 points scoredAny questions? paulitik
No one appreciates what Matt Bryant has done more than me, but dude is just doing his job. He was the hero, but he wouldn't have even had a shot if it were'nt for Roddy. When he's banging 60 yarders, I'll reconsider, but he's a strong second place to Roddy. DirtyBirdSupabowl
He has been great but Roddy is playing like a mad man32rec 326 yds 2 tdsAnd the greatest FF ever. Not too mention he has been lights out in the fourth quarter.
BlacksburgHokie
He's been very solid for us so far this season. It's nice having a kicker again that brings both range and accuracy to the table.I think he's got about as much of a lock on that job as any kicker in the NFL can have on any kicking job... Cherokee Falcon
i kept praying out loud for a TD, because i didn't want it to come down to a FG attempt. 1, i don't trust bryant. 2, i figured since we won last week by NO missing a FG, karma dictated we would lose this week by missing a FG. fortunately i was wrong. i am now gaining confidence in MB.that's the way it should be. when you have the ball at the end of the game (or 1/2) you should feel like if you can get to the 35 or so, you're good. duncja
Kudos to Bryant, but he's beaten out by Roddy White I think. Dude has 13 receptions in 4th quarter play alone this year. He's there when it counts. Add in the forced fumble today? Can't go against him.

Please explain why when Matt Ryan does good everyone pats him on the back but when the Offense is doing bad it's Mike M's fault????? Does he or does he not call the plays in either case.????? Matt was certainly off today, but anyone who doubts that kid has what it takes to win can go #### himself.

Guest Gritz
What do you mean "We"? I was behind him since we picked him up last year.Same here. I thought that Bryant did a solid job for us last year and more than earned the shot.I posted all summer that I thought we would be in good shape with Bryant. So far he's been excellent. I thought that Bryant did a solid job for us last year and more than earned the shot.I posted all summer that I thought we would be in good shape with Bryant. So far he's been excellent.Even when people were complaining to cut him in the preseason after he missed a couple, I defended him. The Miami miss was because they were kicking on that horrible dirt infield. The other misses, he was just pushing a bit. Elam's misses the year before were pure shanks. I can deal with a kicker if he's making good contact, but if they're shanking it so the ball is spinning sideways, there's a big problem.Glad there's more with a level head around here. Clark Kent™
I'd be shocked if Bryant won. He is a kicker. He kicked two game winning FG's in Domes and not of too great of distance. I mean yes that is huge, but without Roddy then Bryant wouldn't have even had the opportunity to make those field goals. How many kickers can make that kick? How many WRs can do what Roddy has done?
