The scheme is the problem with Robinson. We don't really have zone corners except Owens. He can play zone because he looks in at the qb and also tackles really well. We have to find a way to mix coverages and let grimes and robinson play more man because that is their strengths.

If you've ever played cornerback at any level, you know how difficult that curl route is to defend, especially when the zone defensive scheme dictates that he plays off his man...He had a slightly sub par game but he is still leaps and bounds better than Houston. He had a couple big tackles and one very questionable PI called on him. Robinson will be fine.

Whats so sad is he makes two crappy plays then one good tackle and jumps up like he is all that. SMH

LOL, he's playing in the NFL against one of the top talents in terms of NFL WRs in Crabtree. He's not going to win every battle, and it's essential that cornerbacks play with amnesia. Smith had a 65 qb rating and crabtree grabbed 5 balls for 58 yards, also they were scoreless for three quarters...THE DEFENSE WAS NOT THE PROBLEM! especially not robinson

Ya he gave up 0 touchdowns, got a BS PI call and tackled like a beast... OH and the leading WR had 58 yards. Its a little bit hard to bash DR for getting beat on some weak *** curl routs (where DVG probably lined him up that far off)

Thankyou

not to make excuses for him b/c he had a bad game but he plays off b/c of the zone scheme. we play a lot of cover 3 and robinson is responsible for a third of the field all the way back. if he is lined up against crabtree and crabtree runs a 10 yard hook route and dunta is in tight on the coverage then an entire third of the field is open behind him for a TE flag route.
